Outsmarting dogs (Could this work?)
I always thought of having some sort of container that has a small speaker in it, like tweeter size, and you put your weed in it, and it emits that high pitched sound that dogs can't stand, and perhaps it would keep the dog from barking?
Or is that just retarded?

i think if anything, that would attract the dogs' attention. like a dog whistle you know? try it when you have no drugs on you, that way they waste their time searching you.

I saw this on a documentary called "Never Get Busted." You could hide a joint in the straw of your drink, or inside your hamburger. You could also bake some weed brownies which would make it impossible for them to smell/call you out on.

yeah, if you smell like pot they are allowed to search you, but if they find no pot and cant prove you are intoxicated i dont think they can arrest you

Actually, I'm not so sure that smelling pot on you is even enough cause to search you. It might depend on where you are though. I went to an ACLU meeting where the captain of the boston police department was there and I think he said that smelling it on you wasn't enough to search you. I could very well be wrong though, and I wouldn't be surprised.

No they fucking won't.
The dogs are trained to sniff out drugs and drugs only.

On an episode of COPS I was watching a few weeks ago they smelled the marijuana, found a jar in the kids backpack with coffee grounds, and had in the back of the police car in under a minute.

Re: Outsmarting dogs (Could this work?)
I've talked with cops in K-9 units and one of the analogies they gave was soup smells to dogs what it looks like to humans, so where as we smell stew but see all the different ingredients, dogs smell each individual ingredient but just see stew. So if you hide your weed in food the smell of food will probably attract them, and then they will give their trained signals to the cop once they smell the weed which they undoubtedly will.

They might get distracted by it, but they wont give the signal that there is weed there unless well, there is weed there.

This is how it works:
Dog smells food; it goes and sniffs the food trying to eat it.
Dog smells drugs; it goes up to where the drugs are and barks.

That's honestly the dead truth.
The analogy Squishface used is correct. If you have it on you, or residue of it on you - they will smell it.
They don't give a fuck about food, because they know that's not what they're supposed to be doing.

Re: Outsmarting dogs (Could this work?)
The idea of leaving food in the car is so the dog will JUST sniff the food and lose all interest in whatever else he is doing.
These dogs are trained, but nothing can be trained to completely erase their instinct.
Dog smell food, dog eat food.
End of story.

If the dog is given the command to search and find drugs (it's in a different language, so I don't know exactly what it is.) Then that is what it will do - nothing else.
This is how it will go down :
Put the dog in a room where drugs are hidden. Throw three big macs on the ground - and give the police dog the command to find drugs.
It WILL ignore the big macs. These dogs don't even know what the fuck instinct is. They're trained and drilled to do what they do since they were puppies. The people who train them don't fuck around - and neither do the dogs.

The ones that they show off are that good. The average drug dog that you're going to run into isn't really all that great. My friend knows a good bit about dogs & their psychology (has worked as a vet for about 5 years now) and she told me that she's seen a dog be told to hit many, many times. All you have to do is change the pitch of your voice a tiny, tiny bit - not even enough for most people to hear - and that can be a command. I commonly call my dogs with all kinds of random things, from "fat slut" to "Indy" (his actual name), to "kitty, kitty" and it doesn't matter, as long as my tone of voice is the same.

Re: Outsmarting dogs (Could this work?)
Weed particles percolate eventually through just about any container given enough time just sitting there.
Use some sort of mechanical instrument to bag it up without getting any on the outside of the bag, rossian-doll that into other things, and wash your damn hands.
Do that -right- before going out and the dog should technically not be able to detect it if ur doin it ryte.

You said it yourself though, even if you don't get any on the outside of the container, the odor will still seep thru any container given enough time. This is how smugglers who put it in their gas tank get caught. The best thing to do is make sure you bag it airtight immediately before you are leaving, and make sure you aren't going to be spending too long transporting it. If I recall correctly from the documentary I have seen about this, placing it in a few backs that are airtight should give you 1-3 hours before it seeps thru.

So you want to keep dogs away by making a sound that attracts them? And why would the stereo be on why the police are searching you? This is a dumb idea. The idea I like is the one that said put it in a food package.

Wow, you're an idiot. He's talking about using an ultra-high frequency sound. Dogs can hear it, but humans can't. The sound is painful for the dog to hear. The OP is theorizing it is too painful for the dog to be able to search.
As, went over already, the food package won't work. The dog will smell the weed. Wait a few years past 15 at it should all make sense to you.
