My dad and withdrawals
My dad was on Fent patches for a few months and now he's coming off. Today is the second day and he looks like shit. Yesterday he said wasn't too bad, and that it just feels kind of like the flu, but he said today and tomorrow are going to be the worst. I can hear him in his room just going "ughhhhhh ughhhhhhh ughhhh" and moaning and almost crying. I was just wondering if this is normal or if my dad is a pussy. I've heard it was terrible but I've NEVER seen my old man act like this.

Re: My dad and withdrawals
Opiate withdrawls are terrible man. My mom is currently tapering off OC from her major back surgery that she had about 9 months ago. Cold sweats, muscle spasms/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, no appetite, chills, nausea, headaches, fatigue. etc.
It's tough shit, if he's going to quit cold turkey, it will be shitty as fuck for about 4-5 days and then he'll slowly start to feel better.
Provide your pops with some moral support. He is gonna need it.

Read the reply I just wrote for this thread: http://www.totse.com/community/showthread.php?t=2141406
If he is W/D from Fent, he can use most any opiate to detox with.
Good luck to you both.
Email me if you want to know anything more.

Wow thanks, man. Hopefully he doesn't go back. I've seen him withdrawal from all kinds of shit, but this seems to be the worst. He was addicted to barbs for a long ass time and when he came off they took him to a clinic so I didn't see him withdrawal that time, but from what I hear you can die so I don't know.
