Snus.
So i got this smokeless tobacco called suns for free when I bought a pack of cigs. earlier. It's supposed to be spit-less, but I'm used to rougher cut smokeless tobacco so my body automatically produces spit, though much less of it. Is this a better delivery form for the tobacco than rough cut stuff or not? Any one use it regularly? Other than being finer what would the differences be between this and rough cuts?

Re: Snus.
uh...try it and see? I got some of that shit for free from a gas station as well, and I threw it away after taking one whiff of it. Smelled like dirty butthole, which totally turned me off to the prospect of putting it in my mouth.

Re: Snus.
No, I'm having my fun living in the ghetto and campaigning for the environment. My internet routers keep breaking cause clearwire sucks balls. And then of course, theres dealing with my psychotic pregnant fiance.
So, really, I just havent had the time...but every time I come here I do tend to see repetitious ignorant childish crap, and it doesnt lean me towards spending more time here.
I'm just sitting up as a furious insomniac waiting for some stupid kid to ask a stupid question so I can tear them a new arsehole to avoid flipping out on the few people that remain in my life.

Snus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snus) is a little packet of finely ground tobacco in a cotton-esque paper that is place in between your lip and gums. It's fairly new but it looks quite vile.
I know wiki isn't the best source, but it works well enough in this case...

Re: Snus.
Snus is okay. I really enjoyed it during classes and in the library this past year when I didn't want to smoke a cigg or just kind of wanted something for an oral fixation or a bit of a nicotine buzz while studying... they're not as strong as regular dip but the spitless part is nice and in addition to their small size it makes them very discrete... the only real drawback is they make your mouth feel kind of disgusting if you forget to take it out after like 15-20 mins, which can easily happen.. but other than a small chance of bad breath they are not noticeable by anyone talking to you at all, so you can snus it up whenever and wherever...
I believe it's fairly popular in some places in Europe, but hasn't fully caught on in the U.S. yet... it's not very popular or widespread here and many states don't even have snus for sale.. leading me to believe it's being test marketed here in certain areas. I also heard Marlboro was creating a snus product as well to compete with Camel snus.

Thats that cold dip shit?
Nasty.
And probably better suited for Oral Indulgences, not BLTC.

lol I bet that was funny. I've seen something very similar after my buddy stupidly ate most of a Marlboro red. But I don't think an entire snus is that bad to swallow because their juice is fine to swallow anyways... not as bad as swallowing any amount of long cut tobacco imo.

Re: Snus.
I used to dip Skoal and I hated that shit getting loose and stuck in my teeth. Snus is the name of Camel's new line of chewing tobacco. They ripped off the small packet idea from Skoal Bandits. Skoal came up with the idea to put them in little pouches so shit won't fly around your mouth. It's shitty, just like the new "signature blend" camel cigs. All they got is a flavor "bead" in the filter. Tobacco is the same.

Re: Snus.
The mint flavor camel snus packets actually taste really good, like gum. Unfortunately, discreet use comes at a price, because in order to get a buzz you are supposed to gut the spit, which granted tastes good and goes down smoother than dip spit. However, I don't like the idea of stomach cancer and swallowing made me feel kind of queasy. Plus, nothing can ever truly beat packing a fat lip of grizzly.

Re: Snus.
Has anyone mentioned that snus doesn't give you cancer? Big plus right there... if I actually liked nicotine, all I'd ever use was snus.
Unfortunately, it's the act of smoking I like. :(

Re: Snus.
Ive been Hunting snus in my local Tobacco shops,But i cant seem to find any. I would think with them being spitless it would be great for class. Mainly all i dip is Copenhagen Long Cut and Timberwolf Natural and Wintergreen Longcut with the occasional Grizzly Straight or Natural. I hate Grizzly Wintergreen,Timberwolf is the best wintergreen imo. Timberwolf makes a Pretty good Pouch as well for all of you who dip. If i ever find Snus ill let you guys know my Opinion on it though.

PS I hope you all know that it's pronounced "snoose" not "snus", even though it's spelled that way.

Re: Snus.
I had the ones that came free with a pack of cigs (Triumph). It didn't have the strength that Grizz has. I'd still rather just smoke cigs than dip though.

Re: Snus.
I guess they're okay. In some areas the prices are as much as a pack of cigs, and I get a tolerance to these things fast.

Re: Snus.
Just pointing that the feeling comes from the snus being absorbed through your lips/gums. Not the shit that trickles down your neck/chest.
About the spitting, you don't need to spit, you can swallow it. BUT, if your spit has touched the snus. I strongly suggest you don't swallow. Trust me you can taste/feel the difference.
To stop your snus from getting wet (by spit and stuff), wipe your upper lip with your lapel, or the back of your hand. Works very well.
My personal favourites are: General Extra Sterk, and Skruf Sterk. I personally hate the mint/apple/whatever shit taste they put in.
