Got a DUI two weeks ago, haven't made any kind of court appearance yet, but I'm concerned that when it happens they will make me participate in some kind of drug testing. Do you think it would be dangerous to smoke weed? I haven't smoked since last november and have been wanting to check in.

Yeah your fine to smoke seeing as you got caught for alcohol.

Personally, I wouldn't risk it until your court date. I don't think they'll test you, but it's not worth the possible repercussions.

I'm 25

I got a dwi, and never got tested. Not even in court ordered drug therapy.

It all really depends on your judge and what kind of/if you get referred a facility for drug/alcohol treatment. I got wrapped up in drug treatment and all the alcohol offenders got the same amount of piss tests I did. Some of them got tested for past offenses related to drugs for court. It'd be for the best if you didn't but ultimately it's your choice to roll those dice.

Just wait till ur court date. the paranoia of wondering if you'll get tested is prolly a bitch.

a month of gettin drunk and doin shit that lasts 3-4 days in ur system is what i would prescribe.

depends on where you live. in ny laws are strict. first offense leads to drug/drunk driving course which has a part in it where you must go to a rehab. that in turn will produce testing. as for the court doing it, unless your on probation now id say dont worry about it. plus what could they possibly do if you tested positive at first hearing? nothing. whats in you at time of accident has nothing to do with whats in you at testing. unless your high at the time of testing your not doing anything illegal. just say you just started aa/na and you relapsed.
