Default Have you ever broken up with someone..

Without an actual 'break up'?
That's right.. your spared from the whole teary- eyed fighting.. the final 'ending'
I was dating someone seriously for a while but the last time we hung out it was obvious we both felt differently. Neither of us has bothered to call each other since then, and we haven't talked since. Sometimes I feel like I want closure, but at the same time I'm happy I was spared all the drama and the 'you did this wrong' bullshit.
Has this happened to anyone else?

It's happened once... it was just some random piece of ass that loved me for being a dealer at the time even though she was straight edge. Really awkward... one day I stopped dealing and stopped talking to her stoned out of my fucking mind. Apparently, I was almost too smart for her stoned let alone sober... =/

I was dating a girl that lived an hour and a half away...and we just stopped talking. Then a few days later, my relationship status on facebook was different. Facebook sucks.

Yeah, stopped calling them etc and when anyone asked are you still with so and so I said no. Its pretty cruel really I don't think I'd do it again. The girl I did it too I had only been with for like a week so we weren't that close anyway and it was already awkward.

One time this girl called me up to break up, I told her I didn't care and hung up. I really didn't care either.

If you don't end it properly, like actually let each other know it's over, she'll be back just when you're getting close to another chick and she'll go mental. Believe me. I know.

And technically, she'd be right. Unless you've both talked about it and broken the contract of sorts, you're still bound to it.

Happened to me...15, got into your situation where the communications stopped for about a month...I started getting along with another girl and she shows up and starts calling me a cheater and a piece of shit thus ruining my chances with the new one.

My advice...No loose ends!

ha.. wow.. all girls are psycho right? it's different in my case though seeing as I am a girl. Is it possible for two people to take a long break without evebn telling each other? who knows. Most people say guys are commitment-phobic but I am like that too.. Does anyone else get scared off by the too much too soon vibe? I mean there was a huge age difference between us already, and then someone starts talking about kids etc etc.. whoah

not really. I have broken up with someone by saying "You remember how you said 'If you're going to break up with me, do it on a Friday so I have the weekend to recover'? Well, it's Friday. Have a nice weekend." *walks off*

Not all psycho...Just a lot of women these days have been brainwashed into this feminazi way of thinking that they can do whatever they want because men have been doing it for years but when a man does it, he's wrong, scum and filth who should kneel to her obvious superiority because she has a vagina.
I know that has nothing to do with the thread but it's a view I have. And it's not all women...Just the fucking retarded ones who are stealing my oxygen and should go die.

But yeah...It's not really a good way of doing things if you can't tell the other person you're not happy.
If all this talk of kids and living together etc bothers you, let the guy know it's too much too soon and you would be far more comfortable being without him.
Just breaking off contact with someone who is saying that sort of thing is a cruel thing to do. Think about it, he's saying all these things because he has feelings for you then you just run away leaving him in a place where he's not sure what he's done wrong.

No loose ends.
