I've taken LSD twice before, the first was a decent dose, and the second was about half of the first. It's decent acid from what I have heard.

Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it both times, but for the duration I had a little bit of an un-easy feeling, like I couldn't quite let go. I was in my perfect setting, at home alone, but the weather was a bit cold (coming into winter) and it's a time I guess I associate with a kind of un-easy feeling?

I was ready and raring to taking acid during summer but I couldn't find any, I was all prepared and everything but could only find it later.

I still have a few tabs, and would love to have a really good experience yet again, but now I'm a little worried that I will be un-easy and have a bad trip or something like that. Would taking xanax before it totally ruin the trip? I used some on the come down last time and it worked really well together.

Can anyone offer some advice? Looking at people like Darkus, Meta and Cid and anyone else with vast psychedelic knowledge. Maybe it's something I need to overcome before I should trip again, or maybe wait until summer when i'm feeling good again (had a few depression problems lately) to really enjoy it?

Whilst I'm at it, I may as well ask a drug preference question. I have about a week till school goes back, and have or have access to the following for a binge:

LSD
Amphetamine (Adderall?)
MDMA
Tramadol
Some oxy (could probably get 25mg IR which should be enough for my tolerance)
Weed
Alcohol

I havn't taken mdma or amps before so I will play with them a little i'd say. Is MDMA worth it on your own? I generally have the most fun when I'm alone and my gf hates drugs so it limits me abit in that respect.

My guess is you'd want to be around some chicks if you take MDMA. And be sure they take it too...

The uneasy feeling could have been from an underlying negative mindset that you may not have noticed until you were tripping. Also could have been caused by any number of thought patterns, usually negative ones.

As far as xanax goes, that's the kind of stuff that's good to have on hand should the trip start getting too overwhelming or unpleasant. Don't take it before the trip because it WILL dampen the effects, that's why you save it for when/if it becomes a little too much to handle. A xanax and a beer should calm things right down for you.

Anyway, on to the second part. If I were you and those were the chemicals I had access to I would pick up some acid, MDMA, and weed. Acid trips are generally very unlikely to become unpleasant when combined with MDMA (Candyflip), and of course, smoke weed at the peak.

If that's the route you go, take the acid and wait until you're near the peak, then get the MDMA (if it's crystal) and dab it behind your lip or under your tongue. In no time at all you'll be frying pretty nice. Once you're peaking on both go ahead and smoke a few cones :)

Also, my thread has a lot of good content from a bunch of people. They're obviously not necessary to have a good acid trip but a lot of the things listed in that thread by everyone are basic guidelines to assuring the best possible trip you can have given the circumstances.

That could very well be.

A lot of the time when you're tripping below the point of breakthrough it can be an uncomfortable feeling. The point of breakthrough (in my opinion) as far as LSD goes is the point past just seeing morphing objects and enhanced colors and trails. There's a level of dosage with acid that will start giving you very intense visual/auditory/mental hallucinations, prominent closed eye visuals, and in many a 'spiritual' thought process.

Tripping below that point, as I've said many times, is like mentally blue balling yourself. It's like there's so much to see and it's just out of your grasp.It's very common for there to be discomfort or unease during the come up period of the trip, and I suppose if the dose isn't high enough that feeling could stick around for the duration of the trip.

Try taking more next time, but make sure you have the IDEAL setting and mindset.

Try smoking marijuana to ease your trip and give it a little more of a kick...i've had times where i was dissapointed by the weakness of my trip and blazing really intensified it...It caused the actually trip to begin...Plus if your familar with weed and enjoy it...it may put you in better spirits during the duration of your trip...Before dosing more try blazing to see if that gives the extra kick you may need.

I've had the same thing happen to me on tuesday, I took 3 hits and went to the Marine Aquarium, it was supposed to be an amazing day out but I kept on feeling uneasy, edgy and just not that happy.

I've been taking quite a lot of mdma lately though so maybe it was a lack of serotonin in my brain that led to a less enjoyable trip, that is what I think happened to me anyway.

Now I've been taking 5-htp every night and I'm planning on tripping again next week, if it was indeed a lack of serotonin that made me feel edgy and uncomfortable then it should be better next time.

I don't know maybe for some reasons you might have low serotonin levels or maybe you just didn't do enough.

You need not explain. Music is one of the best (and one of the greatest) activities to partake in while on acid.

play some Televators.

make sure that u dont take the xanax till the peak is at least in full blast which occurs around the 4th to 5th hour.

xanax will ruin the trip otherwise.
