Pushup routine
I am thinking of regularly doing these, how many should I do every night, how many sets of how many pushups, all that shit, etc?

Re: Pushup routine
A good start might be to do 4 sets of doing them until you can't push yourself up anymore. You should maybe wait 1-2minutes between each set. You should make some good progress doing that. You will feel the burn and you should find it becomes a lot harder the third and fourth set.

Re: Pushup routine
I do 1 set of 40 pushups, nose almost touching the floor, and then pullups like:
10
8
8
and that is my morning routine when i wake up. On days i feel too good (once in a blue moon) it'll up to: 2 sets of 40 pushups
12
10
10
and squats holding 30 pound dumbells in each hand.

Re: Pushup routine
Go to failure when you get up, and before you go to bed.
I do pushups when I don't work out my upper body. In the morning I do normal pushups, and in the evening I do triangle pushups.

Re: Pushup routine
As regular pushups themselves go, I've always liked doing 4x25 groups as one option on my bodyweight day... though I don't do them if I do wall handstands or bar planche or any such instead, it's just one of the options.
...but if you're wondering... no, I have no rationale for this (other than that the grouping makes my body feel good), and only a little rationale for even having a bodyweight day, lol...

Re: Pushup routine
I usually do 3-4 sets of 10.
Or 2 sets of close push ups and 2 sets of wide
Push ups are great conditioning, same with pull ups. I usually shadow box when i condition because it helps with my Muay Thai training.

It is. I get down, do 40 pushups in a row, i'm trying to raise it to 50, then being able to do 100.

Re: Pushup routine
Just do sets to failure everyday at some stage, once you hit failure rest for a minute or 2, then go again to failure.
If your too sore to do it everyday try every second day.
If you stick to it youll see size improvements and youll be able to do more in your sets.
