Iv'e cheated on 3 girls in my life and I still can't find the answer, even though I did it.

I cheated while I was in a 3 year relationship, kissing a girl while drunk. Being drunk isnt an excuse, but I believe it altered my mind obviously in favor of cheating.

2nd was against a girl who I didnt trust, So I fucked this girl who had been flirting with me(she knew I had a girl)..turns out the girl had cheated on me before, so I don't feel as bad.

3rd doesnt really count too much as I was in a relationship for like 2 weeks and fucked another girl who threw herself at me.

In the end, i'm not sure why I did it. I think sluts play a big factor, also the fact that i'm a horn dog and my inhibitions go out the window when a girl shows me her pussy idk

First off, I resent the title of your thread. Don't use a collective pronoun and imply collective responsibility for an action committed by individuals.

Second off, people cheat because they do not respect the relationship that they have, and do not respect their partner.

Your primal instincts override your loyalty I think. Perhaps cheaters do not truly understand what fidelity is all about? Middle aged people cheat on each other, so maybe some people never find out.

My advice: Learn to resist your impulses and make your head take control when you feel the need or desire to go astray. You are the powerful one, your various body parts are nothing without your mind.

This is one of those statements that probably will make more sense once you're 'within temptation'.

I have been in a relationship for close to three years now, part of the time we were across the country from eachother, and neither me nor my boyfriend cheated.

I don't fully know why we (and by we i mean you) cheat. Personally I think people cheat because of low self esteem and complete lack of respect for their partners and themselves. They get into a situation where someone is coming on to you, making you feel desired and sexy and they throw away their morals to get their egos (and other various parts of their anatomy) stroked.

I think it is sad that you would throw away a committed relationship for a fling.

If you're in a relationship and you cheat then the relationship wasn't worth the bother anyway and you might aswell just dump the other person and move on.

For example...

I was with a girl for nearly two years...We had a lot of fun, the sex was pretty good and I felt a lot for her. However, she had cheated on me a couple times in the first few months (the instances that I know of at least) and I never trusted her.
We argued and fought and gave it all we could to make things work but in hindsight, it was a doomed relationship and we both should have seen that (and acted upon it sooner.)
So I didn't trust her, felt wronged and wanted to get even...So I cheated. I told her I would get even and I kissed a few chicks and screwed around a bit. Immature and stupid, yes...But when beer was in my system and I got thinking about it I thought fuck it, I'm not even yet!
I know alcohol shouldn't be a factor but it certainly does put things into a different perspective.

The girl I'm with now is worth it. 8 months yesterday and it's been nothing but happiness and peace.
I trust her a lot and for me that's saying something. And I know she trusts me. I can see this one going somewhere. Therefore, I wouldn't dream of potentially fucking it up by cheating.
I get all I need from this girl and there is no other chick who could add anything to my life sexually. I'm happy with her.

If you don't feel enough for the person to not cheat, be a half decent human being and let them get on with their life and find someone worthy of their time.
If you happen to cheat anyway, it's your duty to let them know and choose whether to leave you or put their faith in you to not break their trust again.

I think if there is only guilt you have to deal with (by that I mean your partner won't find out) then most people would cheat.

Personally I've ruined too many relationships because of it, but I prefer a relationship than a random fuck.
