Alright im gonna zombify this thread.
A good way to scam ebay is to host an auction with pictures that looks authentic and have the money transferred to a verified paypal account. Then have somebody (look on carding forums or something) and have the account cashed out.
Exp: I remember on a forum a guy posted "ticked to the world series game" and got like 10k or something along those lines sent to him via paypal. Somebody cashed out the account, and his cut was 70%. 7k for posting an auction?

Re: ebay scams
It's extremely easy to do, most retards will assume you're good to go when they look at your feedback and see it's reliable (just "sell" to a few friends of yours in on helping you scam...you can find people willing to help you on this in irc [personally I only think IRC is good for asking/doing favours]...don't sell ebooks though, just have fake sales with items like 360s, ps3s and laptops and have them leave you feedback).
There are a number of ebay scams you can do that it's unreal, and easy to get away with.
Make sure you use JAP at all times though (including making the account), TOR won't work though because your IP is always changing with TOR.

Re: ebay scams
Slim pretty much nailed it, the only thing I would have to add is that wifi hotspots are much better as opposed to proxies. Ebay will recognize suspicious activity if you try to sign up using proxies and possibly ban your account.

Yes. I, unfortunately, have fallen victim to these ebay scams, but only one time. These people are only slightly higher up than panhandlers because they put out a little effort, but they're still bums. Or they could be successful and own the bums. Who knows.

Re: ebay scams
In the long run they're not practical, you can only keep it up constantly for a couple of months before you need to close up the op and move onto craigslist to do some 419 style scamming, then you'll be raking in the big money.

See with ebay, your just assumed trust into what you claim your selling. My friend "had a dream" that he went guitar center and took all kinds of pictures of the guitar he was "selling" like he owned it. Guitar was uber-expensive (around 10k) and he put up "Buy it now: $5k"....sold just like that ::snaps::. Its REALLY not that hard...alas, like someone prior to me said. WiFi/public computers are best for this. If they do paypal, transfer the money from paypal, to another one of your verified paypal accounts (buy one on IRC or verify your own with a prepaid debit card) and then have it exchanged from Paypal, to Liberty Reserve, and from LR to Western Union. Done. Laundered as far as im concerned. You prolly could go further, but that just enough to get by.
419 scams are different. Somebody else who specializes in those could give you lectures on that......
