Default Finding a blind spot

a friend of mine was wondering how you would go about finding a good blind spot in a store. Most of the posts in the shoplifting threads on totse attribute there success to finding a good blind spot, but whenever friend lifts from stores like walmart, kmart, target, and most any other large chain store there are black camera domes covering almost every square inch of the ceiling. So how do you actually go about snooping out a blindspot in an unfamiliar store??
My friend really appreciates any answers you guys give.

don't worry about 'a friend of yours'.. just say you
with the newly registered users, lets start a trend - fuck SWIM (just type it out, but only if its really serious and you're ultra paranoid)

otherwise.. lets cut the shit, lol. everyone knows its you who's wondering and its not even a crime to wonder

but welcome to &T.

Find a blind spot in the 'low risk' areas.. like tools, automotive, bikes.. etc, even toys.. and if there's a camera covering 3 aisles, and its in the middle of the three.. go into one of the outer aisles and close to the shelf.. so the shelf 'shields' you from the camera

also, not every camera is real

Photo booths.

Who even gives a fuck about cams, they're not being watched half the time, don't know your name or where you live.

It varies on stores though, although most the time garden sections are good ones too.

pet/automotive/sporting goods sections rarely have many cameras.

"Someone I know" works at kmart. contrary to popular belief, garden section is riddled with cameras - they expect it there
sporting goods - riddled with cameras
seasonal - no
pantry - most shoplifting gets done in pantry, but no one cares.. people just take small stuff like 1 propel from a 6 pack of propel (example).. or candy
clothes - somewhat, they do have cameras watching the underwear racks and stuff, and workers who work in clothing sections specifically
housewares sections - kind of high risk, most stuff is too big anyway
electronics - riddled with cameras

the best thing to do is pretend you're looking at something and do some box stuffing (with an already open box, we have a lot.. but they're noton the racks, they're on the bottom of the shelf because they can't be hung up or something).. the box stuffing or whatever your method of hiding it is should be done deep in a shelf. After you're done, pull out an item from deep under the shelf so it doesnt look like you were there for 'nothing'

its really not that hard though, we only have like 2 loss prevention guys.. but they're good guys
