Default Melatonin

I love melatonin, those little pills that help you sleep...

I hate melatonin, because judging by my shoulders, I'm gonna get skin cancer when I'm older.

Aww well, what doesn't kill me sooner, will kill me later.

Doesn't that have Valerian in it? That shit is a mutagen.

Well, the cancer is gonna be from all my sunburns... shoulda took pictures of it when it was fresh, I had five different levels of red on my back.

But yeah, I doubt the oral melatonin is mutagenic, because it's not in my skin, and it wasn't manufactured by my skin in response to sun damage.

Melatonin blows ass.

It makes me groggy as fuck the next day and not want to wake up for work.

Melatonin is good. It regulates all kinds of things in your body. It is, however, distinct from melanin, the chemical that pigments your skin and helps protect you from skin cancer. You want adequate levels of both.

Truth.

Good to see you're still around Theta.

That's all it ever did for me. I still had a hard time falling asleep, and I never felt rested.

I think you're thinking of Melanin. That's the skin pigment. Melatonin is pretty damned protective against those crazy mutagens.
