Default did i overreact

one of my friends whos been put through alot of shit lately and is in a horrible state of mind took 160mg of ambien with 16 shots and 100mg of adderall right before i met up with him. i had no idea what was up with him until i saw him and everything was fine at first until about 5 minutes later he hugged me and started sobbing and then shortly after began foaming from the mouth and we made him throw up but later he was falling asleep which i have always have been lead to believe you shouldnt let happen.

but throughout all of this he kept saying he'd kill us if we called a paramedic and he had a warrant out for him for assault. so i knew he was gonna arrested if i called a paramedic him falling asleep was the last straw for me so i finaly called a paramedic. what Im considered about is did i overreact to the situation and condemn him to assault charges or is that combination of pharmaceuticals and alcohol genuinely worthy of calling the paramedics.

oh and i realize this is definitely has strong leanings towards sex and affection, but im most worried about is is that combo dangerous enough that it was worth exposing him to charges

i myself snorted like a gram of blow cut with meth drank and ate the last of the bag of ambien my friend ate so i dont know how much of this is rambling ill edit it tomorrow

You probably kept your friend from dying. I would say its a good call, but who knows what could have happened?

You did the right thing , Sitting on the fence during a possible overdose is never good and you picked his well being over his legal troubles.

Just imagine how you would feel now if he was dead because you didn't call the paramedics because of an assault charge. life>assault charge>OD

Sometimes the Right decision isn't the easiest.

Rest assured you most likely saved his life or at the very least, made sure nothing happened to him.

I'm sure no matter how pissed he gets / got he'd rather be alive and in a little trouble that will soon pass than be Dead.

You better hope he realizes you did this because you care about him, cause he might cut your bawls off.

a trust is a base for real friendship.

what will he see as a definition of that trust, doing what he tells you to do or trying to save him in another way, ignoring his demands? he should appreciate your actions, considering your attentions.

If he gets screwed over in legal troubles, and not to mention the hospital fees because his friend called the paramedics then he might hold it against him. Though any intelligent person would realize that life is very valuable, and would worship his friend for doing the right thing.

You know that people who actually speak in ebonics usually DONT translate that into written words? I feel a strong urge to take the sawed off I'm sure you keep under your seat, shove it down your throat, and pull the trigger.
OP-yep... everything you've been told is correct. I've been in the same position a few times, everytime I had to call, the person thanked me profusely the next time they saw me. Hope you friend sees it how it really is, and is grateful instead of angry.
