I've gotten caught with weed FOUR times in the past. All those times I promised my parents that I wouldn't do weed anymore, but I lied every single time. I only lied because I knew that my parents got the wrong information about marijuana, and that it wouldn't affect my life as long as I kept it in check. But that's not the point.

The point is that the lifestyle has forced me to be dishonest, deceptive and shady to my family. I've lied to my parents so many times and betrayed their trust. I even caused my mom to break down in tears, and that really, really hurt me. I really don't think it's worth it anymore. Even though weed isn't destroying my life, I feel like it's destroying my family's relationship. I know that after the fourth time, trust would always be a big issue.

I go to a four-year university, so I'm pretty much away on the weekdays where my parents can't really check on me, so that was the main reason why I smoked so much. I smoke so much that I figured that it was only a matter of time before I get caught again. My dad is more understanding, but both my parents have zero-tolerance when it comes to drugs and illegal activities. My mom would never understand weed isn't that bad.

So I made a pact with my parents. If I ever get caught again, I would have to go to China where most of my family is to keep me away from drugs. So that's why I'm going to stop for a while, and also to lower my tolerance. So I think this is a good thing, I'm going to start a better relationship with my parents and lower my tolerance at the same time so I can appear under the radar for a while.

Or, maybe I'm wrong. What do you guys think?
