Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

Default McCain is a liar

John McCain claims “I’ve supported every investigation and ways of finding out what caused the [Katrina] tragedy.”

This is a lie.

Sept 14:

Senate kills bid for Katrina commission
WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Republicans on Wednesday scuttled an attempt by Sen. Hillary Clinton to establish an independent, bipartisan panel patterned after the 9/11 Commission to investigate what went wrong with federal, state and local governments’ response to Hurricane Katrina.

The New York Democrat’s bid to establish the panel — which would have also made recommendations on how to improve the government’s disaster response apparatus — failed to win the two-thirds majority needed to overcome procedural hurdles. Clinton got only 44 votes, all from Democrats and independent Sen. Jim Jeffords of Vermont. Fifty-four Republicans all voted no.

“Just as with 9/11, we did not get to the point where we believed we understood what happened until an independent investigation was conducted,” Clinton said.

Got that? In a straight party-line vote, John “Straightalk” McCain backed up his buddy George W. Bush in an attempt to avoid investigating the mess. Today, with New Orleans still a mess, Ol’ Straightalk lies about it.

Any more examples you've got?

mccain went to iraq to see the troops more than obama, ron paul, mitt romney and hillary clinton combined. He cares enough to go see them regardless of the way democrats make it out as a war zone where we failed and we need to get out, McCain went to be with the troops not to prove that he cares, because he cares, it's not a political gesture as far as I can tell it's genuine.
also, a lot of the returning soldiers don't need health care yet. There are the wounded but they get care and physical therapy for free. Although what I'd like to see that neither candidate supports is mandatory shell shock counseling for all returning combat soldiers.

He went for the only reason any politician goes, jackass. Photo ops. Standing in front of some troops while you spout your soundbites makes you look good.

John Mccain resembles Bush in so many ways...

I have to say after watching Harold and Kumar 2, great movie btw, I kinda started to like George Bush and I havent liked him since 2000 when I knew nothing of him.. lol.

I can't believe Im saying this, but Im gonna miss Bush!.. but this Mccain character i dont like, he'll make the same mistakes Bush made, they're both crackerfaggotanalsuckers.

I wish Arnold Schwarzeneggar would be president of the United States. =). Arnold kicked so much Arab ass in True Lies, they'd be too scared to terrorize the US again! and peace will finally be restored while the Arabs kindly hand over the oil =).

But don't you think that if he was as good a politician everyone makes him out to be, he would be able to analyze what went wrong with the response and how to fix it? Or at least support a commission to find out what went wrong and find a way to make responses to such disasters better?

McCain voted down the Commission and said he supported all investigations into the matter of the Katrina Tragedy. The tragedy being the response to Hurricane Katrina. This means he lied.

STFU fucking acolyte

PS, learn to make a fucking argument instead of acting like a douchebag 13 year old.

I'm quite certain that the troops would appreciate coming home from a war based on lies and bullshit more than some old fuckhead scumbag coming over to lay even more bullshit in their ears.

Yes they would.

It is not genuine him going to see them. McCain has rode the boo-hoo-vietcong-shoved-bamboo-up-my-ass POW warbus for his entire political career. Going to see them reminds Americans what a war hero he is. Without that war hero image McCain would NOT be in the running for president.

McCain should thank whatever slope captured his ass, for his entire career.

Could not pay me to vote for this mummy.
