Seeing as I'm unemployed my parents have put me in charge of making dinner tonight.

I need something that's really tasty, but also really easy to make and has a certain degree of elegance (i.e. not Easy-Mac or Ramen Noodles).

shepards pie is tasty man. this is real fucking nice too and piss easy to make:

dice up some chicken breasts and fry them with some chopped up bacon
add some garlic and mushrooms
pour in some cream and some shit cheap screw cap white wine (you'll know what's right when you taste it)
salt and pepper
drink the rest of the white wine while the cream reduces a bit

serve with pasta.

It's tasty. You can do it with prawns too. Simple and nice.

serve with garlic bread or toasted shite if you want.
