How does one clean up blood?
Let's say I got a really bad nosebleed/contusion on my head and now I have blood on my carpet. I do not have any carpet cleaner. How can I get it up?
Why post it in S&A? because we have some housewives that know what they are doing and it lacks the immaturity of SG.

Re: How does one clean up blood?
ry a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide (6% or 20%) and white vinegar. Ammonia will probably work as well as Vinegar, perhaps better (depending on the strength). Add a little (3% or less) of something like 409 or Spic & Span to help the penetration. The longer the blood has been on the carpet, the longer you need to spray the mixture and allow it to soak. You can wipe off the top layer with lots of arm work, but this should be followed up with a steam cleaning machine in order to bring the carpet's color back to original.

Re: How does one clean up blood?
This seems very hypothetical.

Re: How does one clean up blood?
Use cold water to blot out as much of it as you can until there is only a stain left, and then use club soda or baking soda to scrub out the residue.
Shaving cream usually works, also.

The hydrogen peroxide just dissolved the blood, I scrubed it up and vaccumed it. It looks like it was never there, but now I am out of hydrogen peroxide. Any other tricks? Boiling water?
Now it's time to make an ice pack.
Thanks for the help.

Shaving cream also worked well. The cold water more or less didn't do anything. My blood is already clotted it has been like a few hours since I blacked out.
Thanks for the help again Silverfuck.

For everyone's effort here is something to make you laugh:
When I came back to my senses, my nose was still bleeding and it wasn't stoping. So I railed a line of this:

That stuff works very well.

Yea, after it burns all the wet tissue in your sinus'
Oh, and it had to be removed surgically. You wouldn't have a nose left.
