Has anyone taken DPH? I've read erowid but a lot of the reports honestly sound illegitimate to me and appear to be written by kidiots who had no idea what they were doing and ended up in the hospital because of their ignorance.

So if anyone here takes it, what were your trips like? Any important information/advice about it that I might want to know besides the obvious (i.e. getting the type without any other active ingredients)?

go read erowid.....and dont just assume people are wasting time writing the experiences. because yes, it is a legit drug. and also, ive never heard of it being mixed with other ingredients, i could be wrong on that though.

ive had it a few times before, when i didnt have anything else around.
it tended to give me knee pain, as i have osgood-schlatter's, im assuming that was the main issue. and when i take it at lower doses (400mgish) i tend to get mostly a body high, along with hearing voices. and that gets annoying after while.

all in all, not a very fun drug, worth tryin at least once though i suppose, as is the case with most drugs.


P.S. i prefer taking unisom liquid gels. easy to swallow

its not that great. it makes you feel like shit after it wears of but is somewhat interesting while your on it. the dose is dependent on your weight mostly i am like 230 lbs and took 600mg before it was actually cool. buy the unisom sleep gels rather then benadyral(sp) because the unisom has double the active ingredient per pill.

They are the sort of people that take sleeping pills to get high. Remember that when you are shovelling all them shitty pills in your mouth.

Recreationaly (and I use that term loosely) they fucking suck. Allow me to attempt to explain.

There is no dose that will give the delirious (not I did not say psychedelic) effects that wont also give the nasty side effects. The side effects I speak of are both physical and mental.

Physical ~ You feel weighed down. You literally feel like another 70 pounds has just entered your body. Well, you don't really feel heavier but your movements and coordination are as if you are and it is a strange and highly unpleasant physical sensation. You also get a general feeling of discomfort that is difficult to explain but can be summed up as shitty as hell. Your eyes become glassy like never before, reading becomes next to impossible. Many also complain about painful leg conditions similar to restless leg syndrome that persists for the whole duration (although I didn't get this when I did it).

Mental ~ No euphoria and no easily to describe change in mood. Emotion basically ceases to exist with generally dark insights about miserable things. You see shit that is 100 % not there. You even can hallucinate people who are not there and they will talk to you and they will talk back. It is not scary nor 100 % presistant, you are not visualy tripping at all times. Expect to hear your name being screamed out.

Not enough time to fully sum this shit up. Do it once maybe but never again. It can cause HPPD and similar long lasting dysfunctions. You will regret it but that has not stopped &t members in the past.

littlefoot, when i take it, the weight thing is the exact opposite, i always feel weightless. guess it depends on the person. but yes, overall it is a pretty crappy drug. one of the few still buyable OTC though that has any rec potential

When I did it, I was out of it for about 90 minutes then blacked out. I woke up the next morning, and everyone said I had been holding normal conversations with them, walking around, etc. Try it if you must, but there are better drugs that can be had just as easily.

There are no enhanced feelings or euphoria. Everything goes down. You won't laugh or smile at all, but you won't be feeling particularly bad. You just feel incapacitated. Your body will become an annoyance, because you can't control it easily, but you can still feel everything. You'll be laying down for several hours feeling like your skin doesn't belong, but you're so couch-locked that you don't do anything but think about it and roll around.

It's something to try, but don't expect to enjoy it in anyway whatsoever. Only do it if you're interested in putting your body into altered states.

Yes, you will see transparent blobs scrawling out of the corner of your eye.

No, it will not be pleasant.

Take a large dose and then lie down somewhere with your eyes closed and let your mind wander from place to place. Music is a plus.

Don't bother doing it if you plan on walking, talking or doing anything else considered productive.

As for my 'trip', I felt really, REALLY weighed down (couldn't walk at all). The events were in no way chronological, so I'll just explain what I can remember.

-My family made a drum circle around me, then sang Koombyah, then disappeared.
-I pet my cat, then watched as he slowly started to float up until he hit the ceiling, then disappeared as well.
-Saw translucent blobs and spiders scurry away from me, just past my field of vision.

Then I slept about 16 hours. I awoke to the worst hangover I've ever had. Worse than the morning after a heavy DOB trip, and much worse than any night with the bottle could ever produce.

Moral of the story: don't try to get high off OTC allergy medication.

I had allergy pills (Benadryl, they were pink) and they had 75mg of Diphenhydramine in each one. I would take them when I had a cold, but then I read that Diphenhydramine is also a mild sedative, so I began to take them when I wanted to sleep. It worked for a while then I had an Idea. Take 3 or 4 to enhance other drugs. This also works for me. I reccomend taking 300 or so Mg with whatever you get high with.

I like it, but maybe it's just me.

The stuff is legit. I had to grab a box a few months back when I was still in school and had poison ivy like a bitch. I was on steroids along with the benadryl. It took a good 400-500 mg to stop the itching, and the fucking steroids made me irritable, so the benadryl not only sedated me/buzzed me a bit, but cut back the irritability. I will say this much, you will be irritable as shit when the stuff wears off and you come down. I know I wanted to punch a baby.

If your bored and have no drugs, I guess it would be worth a try. Just make sure not to take these around other people cause you can't talk for shit. Have a drink around, the cottonmouth is fucking horrible on these things, and be ready for a weird hangover the next day.
The main thing with these is that before you peak, your really tired, but after they wear off you cant go to sleep.

On diphen I saw hundreds of spiders, pissing was an interesting experience with spiders hiding behind the toilet, little flies, people's eyes would glitch/distort at the edges so I was convinced their eyes were bleeding, I felt like I couldn't breathe, a jacket on a coathanger became a witch, etc. I couldn't remember doing this because I blank out after a certain point, but according to my friend I was talking to my imaginary friend in the wall for an hour. I tried to lay down and relax but I compulsively performed flying pelvic thrusts into the air above the mattress. The day after my piss was exceedingly yellow and smelled funny, I kept seeing the flies, I'd hear people whispering my name, I'd be convinced I was being watched, thought people were tapping my shoulder, etc. But I was incredibly thankful for sobriety! For the next couple months I was extremely paranoid that I had somehow perma-fucked myself a la TetraHydraCanofBeanOil or whatever his name is.

Then again, on the three occasions I've used real psychedelics I've had bad trips, so your mileage may vary. But for me it was quite unpleasant. The only way to describe the emotion is "violated". I felt like this drug had raped me.

OP, do not do that shit. There are lot's of tracers and other hallucinatory effects. It may even seem fun for the first 15 minutes. But then, the true consequences of your actions will shine through. It's the most terrible body and mind fuck imaginable. Ever. It's like some sort of evil spirit inhabits your body while you just sit back and watch your life roll by. It makes me sick to think about it.

I did diph twice...first time didnt get a whole lot from it. Took about 45 min to kick in, did about 450 mg.. i think, i got the weighted down feeling, and the walls appeared to be breathing, and paranoia. Second time i upped the dosage about 100 mg. Got pretty decent results. Same feelings as before, only i got REALLY fucking paranoid saw spider liek figurues everywhere, and heres to creepiest part of all. Laying in bed, eyes closed, i feel something grab my foot. I jolt up and curl into a ball and i see a black figure shaped like a hand disapearing back under my bed. Never been so freaked out in my life. I turned my tv on for a little closure and fell asleep making sure my limbs stayed far from the edge of my bed.

I havent ever heard of ne one experiencing physical shit like that but idk, i havnt considered doing the stuff since.

Id recommend a similar drug, something that i had a more enjoyable experience with. Dimenhydrinate, found in dramamine. Also a deliriant, but i never got the intense paranoia with this stuff. Similar visual effects like "breathing" walls and curtains, and same weigthed feeling. I did find myself having conversations with people(more or less shadows) and i constantly thought someone was saying me name. One warning though, two friends had to get thier stomachs pumped because of this, but only because they mixed with other drugs or alchohol. Everyone ive talked to that did it alone had no problems. Damn that sounds like it would suck ass. Take 300mg with whatever else I take to get high? Fuck that. I would not ruin good drugs with 300 mgs of crappy diphenhydramine. What if it was alcohol and you took that much?
