Specifically on a National Express coach to Belgium, then a train to the festival, then into the festival itself. Dour Festival if it matters. What problems can I expect to run into and how did you best resolve them if you faced them?

Any Belgians want to say if there are sniffer dogs roaming their train stations? You get them ocacasionally here in England.

Well, American festivals and European festivals are probably quite a bit different, but most of the festivals here bringing weed into a festival is not only expected, but it's widespread. Unless you bring a couple pounds they're not going to give much of a shit.

The searches to get in to festivals here usually consists of :

"Do you have anything that will get you in trouble?"

"Oh, no, of course not."

"Mind if we have a look in your trunk?"

"Go right ahead"

-they open the trunk and look in for 5 seconds-

"Okay, move along."

Of course it could be completely different over there. So I don't have a clue.

Me and my mates are going to Dour as well and we're bringing it. I heard they have some sniffer dogs at the train station; they let like 100 people pass and then they stop a few and have them sniffed out. Shouldn't be too hard to smuggle it in. And Dour is notorious for it's heavy drug use, expect to see heroin junks and all that jazz. It will definately not be hard to buy pot, or practically any drug there.

People who search bags at festivals will never give it a thorough search. They'll unzip it, look at whatever is on top, and close it. They generally don't get paid enough and don't want the hassle of actually having to report someone to the police.

Another thing to be aware of, though, is that while many of the festival staff won't report you to police, a lot of them can be sketchy mother fuckers and confiscate your drugs for their own personal use.

It's advised to still keep whatever you have hidden well because of these scumbags.

I'm missing my favorite festival this weekend. Not only my favorite festival, but my favorite place on Earth. I've gone the last 3 years and I have to miss out this time and I'm pretty pissed about that.

Oh well, always next year.

Langerado. It's just as close to you as Bonnaroo I think. In the Everglades in south Florida. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Also, the festival I'm about to miss is All Good. It's an amazing festival. This is their 12th year and they always listen to fan input, so they know how to throw one hell of a fest now. As the name says, everything is all good. Beautiful scenery, awesome crowd, awesome music. Most importantly, no cops. :)

The problem with Bonnaroo is it's becoming way too big. Some people have 40 minute walks from their camps to the concert area, and the crowds at some of the bigger shows seem to be getting overwhelmingly large in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good festival, just not the best anymore.

I usually wait until I am getting ready to enter. Pop off my shoe, curl my toes back and stick a baggy near the toes (1/8th), rolling papers under the foot. If there is no where to roll, i.e. a port-a-potty, line your shoes with joints.

Put some joints in a pack of cigarettes. If the packs almost empty, you could put almost a quarter in with a few cigs.

Depends how much you have on you as to how careful you want to be. The one place they usually post dogs is at train stations so if your carrying a large amount to deal then you may want somebody with a phone to scout ahead and let you know about the situation.

In terms of hiding it, use your imagination: Tape it to your balls, put it in your sock, shoe or under the sole. If your camping wrap it in your tent (They wont unwrap that cause it takes too long, iv seen them check sleeping bags though.) Use one of those baked bean stash tins, an opened can of beer in the middle of a crate (How I get spray paint in.) Up your arse or just stick it in the back of your bag.

Bear in mind that bringing weed to festivals is normal, they cant give 1000s of people a full search or confiscate it of 1000s of people. They may know you have weed but they wont make a huge effort to find it so unless its easily visible then your safe.

Like I said, just use your imagination and make it difficult for them to find.

Nah fuck that, make a quick stop in Amsterdam on the way and get some really nice hash or weed for it, don't be taking shitty English weed, especially now it's the summer and the quality goes way down :p

getting it in shouldnt be hard. just hide it in ur pants, like taped to ur lower abdomen or upper leg. if ur concerned about dogs, then put the bag in coffee beans, and pour vasaline on it to throw them off. someone told me that in a similiar thread that I started.

Yeah I was considering how to get drugs back to England but decided I'm not that desperate for money or anything. I'll try and buy some in the actual camp place I think, Dre said before it'll be easy enough and its not like me or any of my friends are exactly shy about that kinda stuff. The whole not speaking the language thing could suck majorly but I'm sure I can concoct a decent mime though. Haggling may prove difficult.

I went to a festival a few weeks ago in the Uk, they didn't search a single bag weed openly smoked security didn't care. It's a festival they expect it, if you're really paranoid put it inside a pot noodle and seal the lid even if they search your bag they won't search your food.

Last year I went to pukkelpop (also Belgium) and I had 15 grams of pot in my pocket, they found the pot at the entrance and told me to bring it back to the camping site cause it was too much. I'm guessing 5 grams is the max is they allow you to take inside if they find it.

I also had some speed in my wallet but they didn't find that. =P

And then for the train part, I don't know about dour, but last time I went to a party on the train (footworxx) there were a few cops and they just randomly picked people. These people had to undress to boxers, shake boxers, take off shoes and socks.

More I do not know.

Oh yeah, most of the security is for weapons and not drugs. We're in Belgium goddamnit, and you're going to one of our druggiest festivals there is. There was a smartshop with mescaline and shit on the fucking campings a few years ago, very overpriced tho.

I have a friend who's been touring the country going to a lot of fests as a vendor and he says Rothbury is one of the best he's been to. I heard so many things about it that made it sound insanely sick and just out of control.

I'm so pissed I missed it too. Pissed, sad, and all the other negative emotions you can feel :P

Always next year, I suppose. Definitely not missing out again. I heard way too many good things to pass it up next year.
