I, dont know the exact modus of action for seritogenic substances such as LSD and Mushrooms as the form of action is not precise, and not bound to a select system or area of the brain. So it is a possibility... but i dont know as i have never tried.

Its use to increase the oxygen levels delivered to the brain, will act against getting fucked up. As the oxidation of the intoxicating compound will be increased, and thus broken down faster. Which essentially is the sobering and "nootropic" purpose it serves.
