Cellular Mods Your cell phone is really just a specialized computer with a wireless network connection. It has the software that your cellular provider has picked for you, but their software sucks. Why not replace what they give you with better software that has more features?

Default SIM card programmer.

I don't really know much about phones, but I recently acquired the thing that Cingular uses to program SIM cards. It's some kind of USB thing. Could anyone point me to instructions or give me ideas for how to use this?

I'm pretty sure SIM cards are like OTP memory - you can't overwrite them; you can only use that unit to program a blank card.

I can help if you post pictures, and a model number.

No matter what, you will need proprietary software, something I could link too if you post a model number. It is a USB thing, and it's for a Level 2 Tech++ to use only.

"Level 2 tech" for your company, maybe.

Bell mobility recently started using SIM cards (so we can make phones using CDMA and GMS) to make actual world phones.

Ohh, like the Ip-830 os A790 (Both Samsungs, Ip-830 is a nice phone..hehe.)

But, in Cingular it's level 2 Tech. T-mobile I think is way higher. Level 3/4. Not a Customer rep or a salesman.
