I am out in Northern Cali. My buddy is kind of a bitch who doesn't want to take shrooms, unless they have been made into chocolates. This is due to the taste and my pal being a bitch as I stated before. Now I'm no super druggy and have been pretty limited to pot, but I figure if you can't handle a bad taste in your mouth for a minute, maybe you shouldn't be ingesting a drug.

I guess what I really want to know is how reliable are shroom chocolates? You can't really test the potency, so should he just trust a dealer? (Lady who makes them supposedly works for a pot club) She is charging the price of about what an eight cost, but I have read that most chocolates have about half an eight, is my buddy going to get ripped off?

My prediction is that he will end up getting the short end of the stick, and it only bothers me because I hate to associate with people who are marks.

I don't know what you guys get in Cali, but I live in Arizona and I know a guy who trips every single night, and he cooks them into chocolate bars. I'm not sure how he gets it in there, but my brother said he ate half of a chocolate shroom bar and tripped twice as good as he did when he ate twice as many shrooms with no chocolate. I don't know if it was just a better batch or what, but maybe the chocolate DOES act as a catalyst or something.

I can't say if the chocolate makes it better, but for lazy folks who hate the taste I have a suggestion: chocolate fondue. Everyone can dip as much or as little as they want, and it kills any nasty shroom taste.

Granted, you could just man up and deal with the taste. Not like you'll mind when you're hurtling through time and space.

Some of the best mushrooms I've bought were in chocolate. Easy to powder them and put a decent bit in there.

The only problem with them is you don't know how much you're eating. You could be eating quite a bit, which your average first time tripper wouldn't be prepared for.

Any dealer nice enough to actually prepare their crop into chocolates probably is not going to rip you off. Though it's unlikely that they use many caps. Prepared mushies are usually the bottom of the pile; whatever is leftover. Supermarkets do the same for leftover/aging food; they'll cut it up and sell it as fruit salad.

i would just like to add there is nothing wrong with covering up the taste of mushrooms. I used to eat them straight out of the bag for years, then at some point i began to hate to taste. so much so that last time i ate mushrooms i had to hold my breath while i ground them up to put in nutella.

He dosed at like 3 PM when we were in the forest, and me and my friend needed cigs and he said he'd wait there for us. We came back like 30 minutes later and he was laying down gazing down on this creek like FAR as fuck from when we left him. formula for success: buy an 1/8 or 1/4 of mush, split in half, melt some chocolate and milk in a pot/ saucer, pour some chocolate into dixie cups(the wax lined kind), add shrooms, add more chocolate. let it dry (put it in the freezer.) presto, you're both happy.

Surprised that nobody has suggested this but, make it yourself? It isn't very complicated. I mean, come on, step 1, grind desired amount of shrooms in coffee grinder, step 2, melt chocolate(whatever kind you like, baker's is good), step 3, mix and place in muffin tray to cool, step 4, EAT. That way, you know how much is in it. Simple enough?

The answer is yes, only retards buy chocolate mushrooms. Remember, if the mushroom is smothered in chocolate, you have no idea what kind of mushroom that is in there. You have no idea if your dealer went mushroom hunting, fucked up, and gave you LBMs. Remember, know your body, know your mind, know your substance, know your source.

The taste isn't bad. Maybe after awhile you begin to associate the taste with the following nausea a la Peruvian Torch, but since you have to consume so little organic matter with shrooms it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

I always make peanut butter and shroom chocolates; They're delicious. It's really easy to do, you just melt chocolate pieces on a double boiler, grind up 2 ounces of shrooms and mix it all up. Then you just put that in those ice cube molds.v
