Default Easy and affordable lunch that is filling.

So I started my summer job today, I basically move corn for a few hours in the morning and then sit in a stand selling it all day, can't really go anywhere to get food or much. And the cost of food has gone up since last summer by alot. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me how to make a decent lunch that was easy and affordable. I'm used to just buying submarine sandwhiches from Shop n Save. So anything that saves money and a monkey could make would be nice.

What's your price range, and what appliances could you get access too?

sounds to me like a couple ears of corn is the cheapest lunch for you.

fuck man, it's not hard. pack a sandwich, a snack, and a drink. whatever you like. it's like coming full circle, back to early grade school. i noticed my work lunches are the same as my lunches from back in those days, heh.

...Make your own submarine sandwiches.

5 sandwiches worth of deli=Like $3s
Cheese = $3 more
Buns= $3
Lettuce, onion, tomato, peppers, cucumbers, $5

$14 for a week of lunches. You could probably do it for less, as I get more than enough for 3 people for $30 and they sure as hell prove who's the real sandwich artist

If you have access to a fridge and microwave you can make a stirfry the night before for tea then take the leftovers to work in a microwave proof container (NOT a plastic disposable container).

Jimany, that sandwich looks freakin' delicious. You've inspired me to start making some good deli sandwiches. For my summer job I'm just too lazy and usually end up making peanut butter and jelly. It gets old real fast.

NOT FUCKING BAD.

I usually make either turkey or a Salami/Pepperoni mix for my work lunches.

But to be honest, most days I can't be arsed and I need a fucking break in the A/C anyway so we just stop somewhere and waste $.
