the Queensland Government has banned the bong. so much that Off Ya Tree (www.offyatree.com.au) had to go to court for "displaying a bong" and now can not sell bongs on the internet.

what the fuck? who gives a shit about if a bong is manufactured or home made? What is the point of banning bongs when people can so easily make a bong out of your average bottle (weather its iced coffee, OJ, Coke... or even a fucking can), rolling a jay or making or buying a pipe?

Haha this ban is kinda pointless, isn't it blatantly obvious people are just use home made ones (which are really bad for you because you're smoking the plastic too duh). I really don't see how this is going to help anything, except maybe make a few people look good to the conservative, ignorant, extreme anti-drug members of our society. But that's politics I suppose.

In headshops around here you ain't allowed to call them bongs inside the store or they will kick you out. I guess 'bong' is too much of a marijuana paraphernalia term or something of that sort. They say to use the term water pipe but every dumb stoner kid that walks in there is still too fucking stupid to read the sign regarding the terms that need to be used for their products.

God the Australian laws suck, specifically Queensland.

We have this program at our school, split into 2 parts. So half the year did one program and the other half did the other program, and we swap over soon. There's this thing they do called "marijuana, think about it".
I heard that some ignorant bitch said "it's lethal" and the whore running the program said "definitely".

Same shit is happening in Adelaide as well. It won't actually achieve anything, of course. There'll still be stores that sell it, or even if all of them do actually adhere to the new laws (unlikely, but possible), then people are just going to make bongs out of Powerade bottles or Coke cans. Oh well, I guess the idiot politicians and police officers get to look important.

banning bongs is just like sharps disposal kits: if they are there we use it, if they arent, we will use some other method that is either harmful to us or someone else.
