Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

With the presidental election coming up I think its time we turn to the third parties. So this year I am askin all of you who is able to vote to vote for a third party candidate. By doing so we can elect somebody with some integrity. I am not saying which party to vote for (I'm voting for a libertarian) but, dont vote For Obama or McCain.

Even if a third party candidate won, it would not mean that that person would have any more integrity.

Also, until the electoral college is done away with, its probably going to be extraordinarily difficult for a third-party candidate to win.

Even if a Mike Bloomberg spent a billion dollars on his own campaign, it would be impossible for him to get to 270 Electoral Votes.

I haven't decided what I'm doing this election yet. Voting for either of the candidates from the main party is out of the question.

I rather like Bob Barr. If he didn't have only a snowball's chance in hell of winning, I might actually might vote for him.

I'll be voting Green because we almost got on the ballot in my state this year (300 sigs away) and another vote would help send the message (somewhat).

Goddamn it, the problem with Democracy is that the vast majority of people are absolute idiots so we always have lousy choices!!! Grr, goddamn it I wish these stupid people would stop voting or FUCKING EDUCATE THEMSELVES. Stop wasting time by watching those retarded TV shows and go to the goddamn library and read stuff on the internet, is that so goddamn hard, I do it *thrashes violently on the floor*

I really hope Pauls new group succeeds in getting more libertarians elected.
