Im not asking for advice or anything just curious. Name a time when you regretted not having one/wish that fuck who called the paramedics one you were fine was never there. Any experiences?

Mine i was with a lady friend and she passed out in a playground on oxy. Would of been very bad if she was by herself, so good thing i was there.

Instead of tripping with a 'sitter', trip with someone else who is on acid and experienced in what it can do.

Every time I use shit I'm either at school or with a group of friends so they usually help me out anyway, I just get pissed when someone sketches (like the sitter says "You look like extremely fucked up I'm scared") out because it makes you paranoid something will happen to you.

You definitely need to have someone experienced with you when trying shit out.

A trip sitter for oxy? Thats certainly not nessesary. I don't like having trip sitters, or anyone sober around for that matter when i am tripping. Its always a buzz kill for someone to be there questioning every word you say because they simply are not tripping. But i do like to trip with other people who are also under the influence just in case your having a bad trip coming on its comforting to know someone took the same drug as you from the same source, and can remind you that you are just tripping.

For me, I was glad when I watched a couple friends for a night. It was a good thing I was there as once girl cried for about six hours because she "Didn't know what was happening to her". She started getting really mixed up and threatening some messed up things, so, glad I could kinda sorta talk her down.

And I'm pretty appreciative that I had a trip sitter the first time I dropped acid. If anything so she could drive me around to different places.

well since i actually need advice im going to ask. Is 10mg/lb of dxm worth a trip sitter? This is solidly in the 3rd plateau range. Ive only gotten to bottom 2nd before with 3mg/lb (very bottom of second) Id be in a room by myself and since its delsym (im not comfortable with extraction necessary with hbr blend (id end up fucking it up/too much risk getting caught) So id be tripping for well around 24+hours but only peaking for say 4-5.

Im going to probably go for it just wondering what you guys had to say.

The only time I have ever had a tripsitter was when I went to a Widespread show with some friends and one decided to not take any drugs , but luckily he was there because it can be hell when hundreds of trippy people are trying to leave a parking lot.

Probably not necessary. Done a lot of Delsym before and the trip won't last around 24+ though it will feel like it. The trip will be 8-10 hours but you may still feel a pretty heavy stoned or buzz feeling for the next day/day and a half. If you're not comfortable without a sitter then ask a friend, but na, it's not needed.

You may get bored as shit just sitting in your room alone though. It may be worth having a sitter just for entertainment purposes.

Personally I don't specificaly seek a friend for the purpose of keeping me safe on psychs. Sure they can serve for that purpose but I enjoy being around people on psychs but I suppose the fact that one can be keept safe is a plus but I do not have friends present for that specific purpose unless iti s like a high dose of a drug like lsd or mushrooms.

Weird I stumbled opun this thread; I was in a situation where I needed a trip sitter not to long ago.

I've taken mushrooms before several times before, and I have never had a problem keeping my head. Turns out, these mushrooms were waaaay more potent then the ones I have [reviously tried. It was just me and my friend. I remmember for the first couple of hours I was having such a great time, I was crying because I was laughing so hard. Then I saw something that completely fucked my night up.

As I turned around to look at my freind, I remmember him looking like he was swelling up. At first I was like, your just trippin. But after a few minutes I really started to freak out. One of my freinds recently died of a methadone overdose, and when I went to his funeral his face looked all swollen. I tried as hard as I could to stop thinking crazy, but I couldn't help it. My best friend looked like he was dying.

Right when the thought of my best friend dying hit me, he started coughing. His face looked like it kept swelling up and at this point it looked like he was bleeding out of his eyes. He tried to tell me he was fine, but I couldn't stop seeing what I was seeing. I knew I was just tripping but it didnt change anything. I started yelling at him, telling him to help me find a phone so I could talk to someone sober. He went to stand up and he couldn't walk. I see him fall and at this point all I can see is him swelling up and shaking and dying.

I knew previously that it was pretty much impossible for us to overdose, but it didn't matter because it didn't change what I was seeing and feeling. Everything spun out of control, and I thought I was dying to.

Then I started to really act crazy. I ran around inside the house as fast as I could jumping on things, and just basically losing my mind. I was trying to do whatever I could to convince myself that I wasnt dying. If I can run I cant be dying right? If I can jump I cant be dying right?

No matter what I did I couldn't calm myself down.

For some reason I ran into the bathroom, and my friend kept trying to open the door. I bugged out because I thought someone was after me, and I punched the window and shattered it. This is when all hell broke loose.

I started bleeding everywhere, and at this point thats all I could see. Even though it was just my hand bleeding, it felt like it was my entire body bleeding. I thought that I was dying, and I was going to hell. My friends voice and my voice started coming out real low pitched like we were demons. I ran outside and just started running all over the yard trying to escape hell.

My friend called 911, and the cops and a ambulance arrives. I dont remmember a whole lot about the cops, but appearantly I charged at them and they had to wrestle me to the ground. When they had me on my feet I looked into their faces and I could see them turning red, and their voices were really low pitched. I thought they were taking me to hell.

They strapped me to a hospital bed and took me off in the ambulance, and for the next few hours everyone I saw looked liked demons except for one nurse, which I thought was their to save me. It took me till 6 or 7 hours into the trip just to remmember my own name.

When it was all over, and I realized where I was and what happened I felt really stupid. I know if I just had a sober person their to tell me I was just trippen I would have been fine. I think it was a combination of my freind dying recently, my trip partner not being able to communicate with me, and being on some really potent mushrooms just made eveything spin out of control.

Ive had some really good times on mushrooms, but this experience totally changed the way I look at psychedelics. I never in a million years would have thought that I could have a bad trip like that.

Honestly, it's better to have a sober person around and not need one, then to need one and not have one.

First time LSD, shrooms, mescaline.
DMT and salvia d, ALL THE TIME, unless you've been doing it for YEARS, and special k if you're unexperienced with those things. I'd recommend for PCP, seeing as people walk into traffic a lot.....

A lot. But still, if it's your FIRST TIME, I say you know, just to be there and comfort the person ONLY if something bad happens. They should do nothing else.

I've trip sat before, just recently actually. My friend knew of my experience with Psychedelics and asked me to sit in for his first mushroom trip, with the mushrooms that I grew.

I really want to trip with him, but he said he'd feel better if I was sober. So I just got high and showed him cool shit I knew he would like. It was better because I've tripped before and knew the deal.

Like previously mentioned, someone who knows nothing of psychedelics or tripping can REALLY be a buzzkill.

Usually had a sitter for the first time with most things but I don’t really like it. Having people around who aren’t tripping tends to bring me down or confuse me because I know that they cant understand when I’m saying or comprehend what is going on with me and this fucks me up because I’m trying to make them able to understand me. Most of my friends really do any drugs unless its because of me and because I’m doing them so iv never had to sit for someone which is something id really like to do. I much prefer tripping WITH somebody because then you can understand each other but its also difficult if something goes wrong.

I think the best sitter you can have is a trip companion, who is experience and you trust, and who is not taking insane amounts.

Sober trip sitters just aren't right...

Only once for the first time I did shrooms, every other time on every other drug I haven't.

The last time I tried to get a trip sitter, he ended up doing just as much 2cb as me.

I didn't read any of the thread but I'll say this; it's better to have no tripsitter than a bad tripsitter. If you can't trust them go alone, fuck it. Also if you have any underlying bad feelings towards each other they will come out.

No. I trip by myself or with a group of people who are trippin/ on other drugs. You can hang on to any trip with the right presence of mind(your mind is stronger than the drug) not everyone can do this, so if you can't, use a tripsitter. However, some of my most insightful trips came when I was alone, jsut walking or chillin and thinking.

my experience with 1,800mg (two 5oz bottles) of delsym was well weird. I started off post on totse but i couldnt focus my eyes for shit(they're still dilated) and resulted in me crawling around my carpet for around an hour whlie laying on my futon having the most incredibly daydreams. I threw up 3X total but wasnt bad at all. Almost enjoyable because afterwards i finally realized that i was still in my room and became so happy i laid down on my carptet and fell asleep for around 9 hours. Woke up feeling like i drank 13 shots of vodka. I can change my mood by raising and lowering my hands. Im air drumming for what felt like an hour in my room cause it was so good. Oh and around hour 30 my eyes are still stupid dilated. I spent the entire day in my room to fucked to move and my mom caught my ducking her and barged in asking why i wouldn't show her my face.


Im not sure about the conversation but im going to an eye doctor for new contacts i believe. I heard myself say that. So lets see where that leads me. :)

im serious. I wasnt there as a sitter just saw a movie with her and we both took some percocets. Later we ended up at the school playground and she passed out and i almost fell asleep. (luckily i didn't)
