So I've decided I want to try salvia, I'm not looking to get "fucked up" or "stoned" I want a genuine savlia break through. Just a couple of questions I had are:

1. I cant find anything about the age restriction of salvia on google, so does this mean I can walk into my local smoke shop and purchase some? (I'm 17)

2. What is the best extract to buy?

3. I can just smoke it out of a normal glass pipe (as long as I have a torch lighter w/ a blue flame) correct? Does anyone have any better suggestions?

4. How much is needed to break through generally? Do I need to pack a fat bowl or will just a small amount suffice?

I'm experianced in psychadelic drugs so I do have some idea of what I'm getting myself in to.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

1- Depends on where you're at. I'm underage and I've bought it at my local headshop, and several other headshops.

2- I'd go with 20x

3- A glass pipe would do it fine. I've smoked it many a time without even using a torch lighter, just going with a regular, and I've never had a bad experience.

4- Pack a small one hitter, hold it in for 30 seconds or more, lather rinse and repeat.

As far as I know you have to be 18 to purchase salvia at a head shop, this is in sc.

I would recommend trying 20x for your first time, strong enough to give you the full effect but not too insane.

Using a bowl will work with a torch lighter, if you have a bong I would definitely use it instead. Just take a big ass rip and hold it in for as long as possible, about 30 sec should work, and as soon as you exhale you won't know what hit you.

A water pipe/bong will help a lot since it'll cool the smoke down a lot. You can break through with a regular pipe but salvia smoke is usually pretty harsh and the harshness can mess it up.

A bowl will work fine but I'd use a bong to help you hold in the smoke for longer.

And as far as I know any age restrictions to buy salvia are only imposed by the people at the shop and there is no law saying you have to be over 18 to purchase.

I know these have been answered already but I'm going to post my personal preferences regarding salvia.

1. Many headshops do require you to be 18 to view the "back room", which is usually where all the pipes and other goodies are kept.

2. For a Sally-D virgin I'd go with the rest and say 20x.

3. I much prefer a bong. MUCH prefer one. Salvia tastes funny and leaves an odd sensation in your mouth, so smoking as little as possible to break through is ideal for me. Plus a bong will allow you to take a significantly larger hit and hold it longer as well.

4. You don't need a big bowl of extract. As was stated before, keep smoking until you break through. If you can keep smoking -- you haven't broken through yet :)

My ideal setting is a dimly lit room, by myself or with a friend who you trust and won't try to do stupid shit to you while you're tripping.

I also like putting music on in the background. I like Shpongle and Younger Brother for most psychedelics, salvia included. Any kind of tribal music is cool too, and nature sounds. Gregorian monk chanting is pretty damn cool too :)

I agree with all but this one. You won't be able to pack another one and repeat. Just pack the bowl full, take a huge rip. (you can clear the whole thing) Don't be alarmed by how cherried it gets, just keep hittin it till it's cleared. Hold it in for as long as you can, you can hold it for a long time without having to breathe out.

This is subjective you fuck. For me, taking 4 BTs of 5x makes me break through, and 2 BTs of 10x (from the same company) makes me break through. There are no set standards on the salvia market, even though they say "standardized."

Bongs are better, but glass pipes work too although it will be harder to break through. You may not even know what the fuck your trying to do when smoking out of a pipe (if your original intention is to break through, you might forget about it because it takes longer then a BT would). Butane is not necessary, but recommended.

Subjective again, Jew. Just pack as much as you can and keep hitting it until you break through.

[b] Salvia, IMO (as this is all subjective you fucking idiot) is no where the same as other hallucenogens such as LSD, 2c-e and mushrooms. To me it feels like utter confusion, out of control, and "ego death." Everytime I break through or am just under the level of breaking through I forget who I am. Every time. I personally hate and can not stand things that are not in my control so this is why salvia and I do not mix. I hope that I can mature in this fact later in my life, and this will be a good test of it (to not feel mentally uncomfortable with the lack of control on Salvia[b].

Salvia is pretty different, it doesn't have a come up it just suddenly takes you like flipping a light switch. And while it's happening you don't know you are on a drug, often you forget your whole life and get stuck in the moment which can be really scary if you are feeling something negative then it will feel like it is all that has been and will be.

Go for it, it will give you some shit to think about afterwards at least.

Not really true, especially after you do it a couple times you can recognize that fucked up feeling as it starts to hit you, followed by the OH SHI-.

And unless you've done DMT I don't really think any other drugs can come close to the total mindfuck...its amazing...the feeling of 100% helplessness...the vastness...fuck I want some more, but at the same time I'm a bit scared of it. :(

you really dont need a butane lighter or a bong to break through if you have the lungs for it...

we had bought a regular bowl, and then went back to buy some salvia. we brought some 7x and brought it back to my friends house...

the 1 gram vial was divided into 6 fairly even piles and i put one of them into the bowl. held the bic lighter to the salvia the entire time i was inhaling. the entire bowl turned into ash and my lungs felt like they were on fire, but i managed to hold it for an unknown amount of time. i exhaled sometimes after reality had gone bye-bye...

ironically i broke through with 7x, a bowl, and a bic lighter... but when i tried it again with 20x, a bong and torch lighter i didn't break through at all...

Try 100x it works like a charm. Just make sure your mommy isnt anywhere near u when you do this. Also eat rat poisen at the same time u trip 20 times longer.

just a heads up salvia doesn't affect a small portion of the population unless taken in a MASSIVE dose.

Trust me, I've seen doses 30x (of the 80x extract) the dose everyone else smoked do nothing to about 3 people.

most likely because you got them at a shitty headshop...buy some from an actual reliable ethnobotanical vendor online....headshops always lie about the strength and jack up the prices.
