So I've worked it out, and I need to find £10,000 in the next year to pay for both rent and university fees, as my parents said they'd give me an allowance for food.



I need ideas how I can get as much money as is humanly possible over the next two months before uni starts. And after that too.

Here are the results of my current brainstorm:

-I'm going to apply for McDonalds tomorrow. Fuck pride, I need guaranteed employment.

-I'm going to get myself in gear and start up my online electronics business.

-*shudders* Modelling work. I hate that shit it's so degrading, but whatever. I have no room to be picky.

-Borrowing money off relatives? I don't want to do that, but whatever. Needs must etc.

I can't see myself ever getting a real loan, so I'm in a difficult situation. Ideas?

Well, if you work 40 hours a week at minimum wage, you'll have your 10k in a year.

Start out at mcdonalds or whatever fast food chain will take you. So you can have your guaranteed employment. But immediately start looking for something that pays more. I assume you have no expertise, so look into the service industry, or warehouse work. Even as a delivery driver for a pizza place or whatever, you'll have a chance to bring in tips. So you should make at least 10 bucks an hour.

there's no get rich quick scheme. get a job (better yet, get two jobs because in america at least, mcdonalds and most other minimum wage places are not going to give you full time hours) and sell your shit is all i can tell you. working last summer before i went to college, at minimum wage which was $6.85/hr, i managed to only make like $2000 and i didn't spend one single penny of it until i got to college and had to buy shit for my dorm and whatnot. had some 40 hour weeks, but averaged more like 25 which is just frustrating as hell. i dunno, maybe it's different in britain but my experience has been that easy to get low paying jobs are not full time.

Just because you missed the deadline doesnt mean you can't still apply, you'll just have your payments delayed.
However, do you really think that you can just start up a business online and it be successful? And I know for a fact that you can't just pick up modelling jobs whenever you want.

I guess I was probably a bit hasty in calling a state of emergency - I'll go do some research now, thanks. I'm sure they wouldn't just cut it off with a few months left to go till the start of the course.

As for the modelling - I'm 6'3, wide shoulders, good looking and have natural platinum blonde hair. I'm one of the few people that CAN pick and choose modelling jobs, due to how rare my body is. I used to do it a bit a while back, but as awesome as modelling may sound they make you feel like a fucking cow that they herd around. Not cool. You can get like a few hundred quid for a days work, but it's so degrading that it's almost not worth it.
Plus the novelty of being printed modelling the worst clothes ever got old as soon as my friends started handing out copies to people at college. That was embarrassing .

And I didn't specify my business thing, so I guess that sounded retarded. I've been self teaching electronics for a while, and am able to make shit like audio bugs and hardware keyloggers and stuff if I put some time and effort into it. I've been thinking about making an ebay business dealing specifically in that kind of stuff for a while now. It's not like it was something I thought up on the spur of the moment a couple days ago. Only problem is that it takes effort ordering the parts and making all the stuff.
I'm quite lazy unfortunately, which is part of the reason I got into this mess to start with I guess.

And to everyone else - I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme. I'm looking for ideas as to how I can get money so I'm not bankrupted out of university. I'm open to shit like 'get a job' or 'sell some spare stuff on ebay'; I hold no delusions about this.

lol @ totse being unable to accept that some people aren't hideous looking. Just get a regular job and do the modelling, if your making a couple hundred pounds in a day it can't be that bad. But don't just settle for McDonalds, go out and do some sort of physical labour such as landscaping. Hard work, but around here you'll start at about $14/hour (so I suppose around 7 pounds).
