Politics: Left, Right, and Center National, state, regional, and local politics. Who's doing what to whom, and what you can do about it. How-to-get-action messages are encouraged. "How the government fucked up my life" stories are encouraged. Sharing new methods for cheating on taxes is encouraged. Sample "letters to congresscritters" are encouraged. Apathy and "I can't do anything" posts are discouraged. Left, right, centrist, or any other form of political-economic systems are all up for discussion. Be prepared to defend yourself, or at least have a good line of bullshit ready. Extensive quoting of economists and philosophers is frowned upon. We want to hear what YOU have to say, not what some constipated, impotent, dead guy dreamt up while suffering from the DT's over a hundred years ago thought.

don't worry every now and then an everyman runs for president. the people just have to learn that there aren't a lot of reasons to keep electing people of the same caste. If Andrew Jackson (who couldn't read) was elected then you still have a chance.

Well, I must say neither one of them seem very smart. Obama got into a major dispute against Clinton, and McCain let them get all the publicity, I wouldn't be suprised if the only reason Obama wins is due to his publicity.

Kucinich may have been the closest we've come in a while.

Net Worth: From $101,004 to $471,997

Still a lot, but a far cry from what the other guys have. As for "billion dollar families" backing candidates...I guess that's almost inevitable unless you have a candidate that simply will refuse to work with rich people...which is really not in the best interest of anyone that wants to have a serious chance of winning.

Because you need the ability to generate a hell of a lot of money for a campaign.

Way to waste a vote.

Do you really think enough people are going to write him in for it to get media coverage?

Just vote for a 3rd party to help give them some momentum.

That's dumbass logic. Ron Paul is the best candidate, just because most people are voting for another candidate doesn't mean you shouldn't vote for the one you want to win.

The green party is sending up Cynthia McKinney, the african american congress woman from Atlanta who resigned after striking a security guard who assaulted her. She has been a vocal opponent of president bush and the iraq war since day one. Her candidacy has gotten like so zero coverage even here in Atlanta despite being a popular local figure as well as a national figure of some prominence running with one of the countries larger 3rd parties.

McKinney grilling Rumsfield on government waste and deception in Iraq:

Anyway she's an amazing women who was defamed in a very obvious and racist way. Sorry Obama, I'm still going to vote for a woman...and this one is black!

No sir, you're the fucking dumbass if you're intending to vote for a candidate WHO ISN'T EVEN FUCKING RUNNING.

Take your head out of your ass and realise if you vote for Paul, your vote is wasted. If you want to help make a change, vote for a third party ffs. What's the difference between Barr and Paul?
