ok so I had some of this bomb ass cali mist nug that is over a year old.. i decided to stop smoking weed and havent touched that shit in a year.. today for whatever reason i decided i was going to smoke the nug, since i figured all the psycoactive shit was gone and i wouldnt get high, i just wanted to savor the flavor... and i got fucking blazed.. not as blazed as i used to get smoking the primo dro id get back in the day, but i got really blazed.. and im still high after 2 hours.. how the fuck did the weed last this long? Its been kept in open air but in a dark environment. The humidity is fairly low. This is some crazy shit. Or is it because my tolerance is mega low?

Yes but THC is supposed to degrade rapidly in the open air especially if there's light present which there is right now. If i could find my goddamn microscope id inspect the trichomes and tell you how many where still milky white. Nah because however strong it is right now, it would have been 10x as strong if I had smoked it when it was new. This shit would have been crazy. In other notes I can say that the decay is clear because I could feel all the negative cannaboids (cbd) making me tired and spaced out and this is supposed to be a sativa so I know it lost quite a good bit of potency.
