How to end the war on drugs. DRUGGIES REPRESENT!!
It has to start somewhere
It has to start sometime
What better place than here
What better time than now
All hell cant stop us now
-Rage Against The Machine
we can win the war on drugs by spreading facts, like a counter virus. one person tells 2 or more. that person tells two or more. the knowledge multiplies like a counter-virus. this shit will be EASY.
this is the best song i've heard IMO for communicating the truth:
Evol Intent - Foreword
also
Evol Intent- Death, Lies, and Videotape
www.myspace.com/evolintent
how we can all do this with barely any effort is by putting an img with facts as our signature to every post on totse. i've got a shitty one i made here (i have no clue how to use the gimp).
SIGNATURE:
Just say KNOW
http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/7666/roughspreaditun2.jpg
Please use this as your totse signature, or make yourself a better one.
We just need to show the voters the facts.
i'll fix it after i play soldat, i shouldn't have posted this right now, unprepared. o well.
{the slogan is a counter to the governments propaganda slogan "Just say NO". created by the students for sensible drug policy.
the pink is for controversy/to draw attention, it's hard to read so that once they get what its about, it's already too late. (first try, will b improved) }
and i've got a bulletin i've been spamming everyone on myspace with, hourly.
check it out, unleash the spam, they got no choice but to accept the truth, it will prevail.
idgaf if u don't like myspace, it's a badly made social networking tool and we can harness it like a motherfucker.

Re: How to end the war on drugs. DRUGGIES REPRESENT!!
piss off hater. it's not about bulletins. it's about shoving facts down the citizens throats in every method we have. when im walking in the city i chalk it up. bout to make some stencils for the right place. i also tell every single person i see when i have time (which is the majority of the time). i also call people, send messages, IM's, comments. next the lawn signs i don't like will be converted with recycled ink diy markers, and i'll dumpster paper and climb/repel/grapel hook to high spots and tape it up. you should too. (we just don't want to waste tax money and make ourselves look bad so careful with the paint.)
this broadcast WILL NOT STOP until the war on drugs is won.
it's obviously not perfect, but i'm very sleep deprived doing this all on my own, no one will help. i've spent hours on this shit making it so that the second they click they see CNN telling them their money is being wasted (credible source to them), then they see the national debt, then they see how many ppl are in prison, then they see what norml has to say about weed. cuz they're like wtf is 500 billion being wasted on? then they read on and it's shoved down their throat.
no im talking about one bulletin, every hour, every day. i obviously can't do this every day, and i can't do it single handedly. that's 91 bulletins per week at ideal conditions. so maybe i'll have to do it every half an hour. i'm about to make another profile, join HELLA trains, and cause havoc.
what, r u scared of what they will think of you or something?

i'm sorry, it requires about 2 minutes of reading, preferably in a non inebriated state. it's not well made and it will only be so if people make suggestions.

it's like trying to stop the drugs themselves. there is just too much money for them to ever stop. in fact a large chunk of america's economy is dependent on it.

HAH.
k look at this. 23% of high schoolers smoke weed. (i need 2 verify this 1)
Marijuana is the third most popular recreational drug in America (behind only alcohol and tobacco), and has been used by nearly 80 million Americans. According to government surveys, some 20 million Americans have smoked marijuana in the past year, and more than 11 million do so regularly despite harsh laws against its use. Our public policies should reflect this reality, not deny it.
there are only fucking 300 million people in the USA. the hippies had it all set up for us but like leary said "they tried to break out of prison without knowing where the bars are. the time is now. you've got to be kidding me if you think we can't win.

Re: How to end the war on drugs. DRUGGIES REPRESENT!!
Let's just say you did manage to educate the majority of schoolkids, so that they knew the truth about drugs by the time they can vote. How many voting age people actually go to the polls? As an example, in the 2004 presidential election it was a 60% turnout. Number of votes cast: 122 million. So the population of your electorate is around 200 million.
How many of these are going to be the young people that you have educated? Adults are simply too closed minded with regard to drugs to believe anything other than what their government has been telling them their whole lives. Big generalisation, but whatever.
So let's assume that your plan is going to rely on educating teenagers with the truth, using email and social networking sites as your biggest platform. Be honest, if you weren't a drug user and someone sent you a fucking long email claiming that the things you'd been told your whole life weren't true, would you believe it? No, you'd see the (e.g) 'FW: Legalise drugs!' in the subject line, dismiss it as some bullshit chain email and delete it.
If you wanted to make any significant difference through voting, you would have to get every single young voter in the country knowing the facts before they were even of voting age. Even if you did somehow manage that, and got them all to the polls, who's to say that they would even all be pro-legalisation? I'm sure there's a significant proportion who is strongly against drugs, regardless of whether they know the true health effects or not.
I'm not very well-versed with American politics so correct me if I'm wrong (almost certainly), but before a vote is even cast, doesn't it have to be proposed by a senator or something? I can't see a politician in Washington proposing to legalise any drug, let alone all drugs. Weed in California is still *technically* illegal, even though no-one really gives a shit there. Attitudes towards drugs vary from state to state, so it's never going to be legal across the country. Politicians do what gets them the popular vote and keeps them in power, and attempting to legalise drugs is not going to go down well with the majority of the voting public.
I'm not trying to shit on your sandcastle. I'm all for legalisation (along with effective regulation), I'm just being realistic. Even in Holland, weed isn't legal, so you've got a snowball's chance in hell of it happening in the US, let alone with any other drugs. The best you can hope for is federal decriminalisation of weed, but even that would be a huge score.

Re: How to end the war on drugs. DRUGGIES REPRESENT!!
you make very good points, i appreciate them.
1. the myspace/totse education is only a FRACTION of the action. the main assault of facts will be on the current voters. yes they are very closeminded, but when the information does NOT STOP, EVERY DAY, they keep seeing the facts over and over, they will slowly overturn, they have to. they don't like being abused like this, they just don't see see it. the reason everything is so fucked up is cuz most of the ppl don't know shit. i sure know i didn't. most of em used 2 b hippies, anyway. MONEY is the biggest incentive. think about govt. subsidised auto insurance! we could also bump up the measly $11 billion/year we spend on food stamps. this nation will be revolutionized in every part it is fucked up. the real issue is the NWO tho i gotta get on that first.
2. that is GOOD NEWS that only 122 million people voted. that means that if every drug user voted, we would probably win. IF we could get it passed thru the fucking representatives. but hey if they aren't representing our demands of staggering numbers they'll be thrown right the fuck out, and a new representative will be put in, right? i just don't see it not happening if enough people are educated, look how far we are today, there's barely ANYONE doing SHIT, while propaganda we pay for is spammed on the TV, and shits kinda lax in some places.
my plan for all of this: UNITY.
i am creating a group, a website, a forum, & the group will hijack/spam almost every existing large social networking site and forum. we will start locally, in person, that will be all about spreading these facts, to kids and voters, and we will also spam our people to vote or they will be kicked out until they do vote or something like that. getting the message up without causing damage or wasted tax money is the key. we'll also hack ppls myspace then post bulletins, do it again in a week, lol.
all of this is hypothetical, of course. it's never going to happen, we the people are just completely helpless. there's no reason why we should start now anyway, really. fuck our oppressed lives, the the future generation, lets just live it like it's our last day. it's okay if big brother will have us physically enslaved without our knowledge, mentally controlled, ever watched, weak and helpless, with the rules piling up day after day.
there's really not much a bunch of pissed off unified people can do, u know, look at history =(
people, listen to some
IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE.
if u care bout this shit you will LOVE him. even if you hate rap/hip hop, i promise. racism is schism.

I love immortal technique, and I love drugs, and it's cool that you're so enthusiastic about this, but most people just aren't ready to accept drugs as good/normal. That's what generations of social indoctrination has done.

Re: How to end the war on drugs. DRUGGIES REPRESENT!!
this isnt going to make a fucking difference... the support in most states is there for at least decriminalization of weed, the only problem is not enough people are willing to stop smoking for a couple of fucking hours and go out and fucking vote... go ahead and shout all of your statistics, everyone already knows DARE and all of the other shit they have been taught is a load of shit, your goal should be convincing these people to vote...
