Hear me out. My last thread concerning this was closed because it wasn't in the 'grow thread' (which isn't even in BLTC...), so I switched it over to the grow thread in TGO. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten an adequate response yet, and doubt I will. Time is of the essence when it comes to plant problems, and I'd really like to fix this ASAP.

SO, once I get an adequate response on whatever the fucks going on and how I can fix it, you can promptly close this thread. The thread will probably die on its own anyways, because I've been searching all day for an answer and have found none. Thanks.

So my baby cannabis plant is around 3 weeks old. Shes got 5 sets of leaves if you include the round starter leaves and the first solo leaves which I cut off (the other 3 sets have 3 on each side... kinda weird I would have expected her to make 5's by now). She has 1 120watt CFL, 1 clear 40watt bulb, and 2 spiral florescent lights which are 13watts (energy savers equivalent to 60watts each I think) all pointed at her from about 2 inches away. I've also got a ceiling light on, but that probably doesnt add that many lumens. Foil also surrounds the area, and I've got a fan blowin on her.

So ANYWAYS, something has really been bothering me (and her?)... ALL the leaves are pointed almost straight up! Pretty much like this \\//

At first I thought it was a seedling thing, and that she would straighten herself out to a near horizontal angle within a week or so.. wrong. I don't think the leaves are stretching towards light, because the two florescents are above her and the other two are on the side... not to mention there should be practically no stretching with that much light.

Help please? Is this normal? This is really becoming a problem because my lights are burning the tips of her longest set... Of all the pictures of babies that I've looked at NONE of them seem to be growing like this.. But overall she seems very healthy. Strong stem, nice green leaves, rapid growth..

it needs more heat/light. since it doesn't have enough, the plant is starting to stretch towards the light source in an attempt to get more. if you dont get decent lighting, youre going to end up with a tall, lanky, plant.

I greww with 80 watts of flouros with a 6 inch distance and mine never did that. He doesn't need ANY heat first of all unless his house is below 70degrees. I don't think he needs more light, that seems like quite a bit for 1 plant. Sure a 400 watt hps or mh would be more suitable but that will work.

Op take out any incandescents. Micro flouros and regular flouros are fine. I think this is a matter of TOO MUCH heat from all those lights being so close. Make sure the lights are 6 inches away from the plant and make sure there is a fan blowing on the lights to get rid of some of the heat.Build some kind of adjust system for your lights because when the plant grows they are going to need to be pulled 6 inches away ALWAYS. Definetly sounds like your plant is being burned. And you are going to be dissapointed when your one plant ends up being a male. You need atleast 3 plants to gurantee you get 1 female.

I noticed that with the Big Bud strain I'm growing that the leaves did too, but after I started flowering for 2 weeks they were normal. Do you know what strain you're using, it could be Big Bud or something that Big Bud comes from.

The leaves of a plant can position themselves to get optimal lighting. For instance, my buddys plant was too tall so he tied it in half. The next day all of the leaves and branches were bent upward.
