Chronic is my Kryptoknite
I got stuck in the sky. I abondoned my friends. I thought I was God. I became paranoid and delusional. I became severely schitzophrentic, to the point I was fighting demons and solar creatures that conspired against me. I still do.
I did a lot of real drugs too, coke, lsd, mush, the works, but in the end my downfall came from that which I thought completely harmless.
I havn't smoked for 4 months and I'm still coming down.
Any similar experiences out there?

Re: Chronic is my Kryptoknite
I agree that weed is equally as dangerous as any other drug, legal or not.
The problem with pot is that you think it's impossible for you to become one of those people who's paranoid, has delusions of grandeur, has unpredictable moods, partakes in strange compulsions, talks about stuff nobody else understands, etc
and before you're even aware you've changed, it's done, and because you're caught in the haze, you simply embrace it.
I know people laugh at or make fun of you when you tell them what you did to your life thanks to maryjane, but I understand. I really do.
Going clean from pot is hard, but if you know it's starting to affect you in negative ways, there is no reason why you should simply fold and give in to the temptation.
Weed just makes life too comfortable and it makes you entirely complacent. That guy on the couch in Pulp Fiction that Jules capped? He was stoned, didn't see that shit coming, and probably didn't even care.
That's what you'll become if you dive too deep into the world of stonerdom.
Keep it clean, buddy; I feel your pain.

Re: Chronic is my Kryptoknite
hah, that's strange. i've had problems with weed, too. enough problems to make me believe it is the devil's gift. i haven't smoked in almost a year and half, and still don't feel the need or want to because i was having similar psychological problems but not to that degree whilst smoking it. DXM User hit the head with his post. i can surely relate to some of his points.

Re: Chronic is my Kryptoknite
It's the exact opposite for me, because if I don't smoke, I find myself sitting around not doing shit and being bored but when I'm high I'm motivated to go do whatever I want to. The only reason I ever sit around when I'm high is when I'm hanging out with friends that do that, and it fucking pisses me off when I'm high and all my friends want to do is sit around and watch tv and listen to music

first of all, how do you know that's not the reason you're fucked up, and If you are fighting demons..... then you're most likely scitzho and should seek some professional help.

Re: Chronic is my Kryptoknite
I've been smoking cannabis on a daily basis for several years. I'm not going to say it's harmless, but I am going to call shenanigans on your claims.
Firstly, you give no evidence that cannabis caused your problems, maybe you're just a dick? Maybe your friends abandoned you because they grew up, and you didn't.
Secondly, you're still not grounded after four months of abstinence? Well, I don't know what sort of dak you're managing to get your hands on, but hook it up!
And thirdly, see a fucking head-doctor.

It is not anything new. Cannabis can bring out mental illness in predisposed people.

No, you're not coming down, you're just fucking retarded. Be a better troll next time. It is not anything new. Cannabis can bring out mental illness in predisposed people.
There is a chance it can do this. This has not been proven. There is correlation but no causal relationship between cannabis and mental illnesses. Second, it doesn't "bring it out in predisposed people." If it "brought it out" it would be with people who already happen to have the illness.

I'm aware of such claims, but he doesn't offer any proof that cannabis is the culprit.
He just seems to say that it is.

That was my point. Thank you for pointing out what I said. I did not need you to break it down. I have a friend whos mother had paranoid schizophrenia. He smoked for 2-3 years with no bad effects. After about 4-5 years of smoking he started to have mental breakdowns. He had to stop smoking and was diagnosed with some kind of mental illness and has since been medicated. Since he started taking medication and stoppe dhis marijuana use it has gotten better. But he will ikely be stuck with it for the rest of his life. So who the fuck are you to say it doesn't bring it out in predisposed people do you have some kind of experience with mental illness. Obviously the marijuana was the thing that brought it out and he was predisposed since his mother had schizophrenia.
I have another fsemi friend who happens to of grown up with this same friend above. He smoked for a few years atleast and has now been diagnosed with psychosis and is medicated.
Now they could be coincidental that they smoked pot and this happend but it seems like a pretty god damned good correlation since both their psychiatrists said that the marijuna use was likely the causes.
I'm aware of such claims, but he doesn't offer any proof that cannabis is the culprit.
He just seems to say that it is.
It is likely all of the drugs he used. They certainly do not help.

Re: Chronic is my Kryptoknite

You're a fucking idiot!
No, YOU are the idiot.
I can do meth every day for a month and not get bent out of shape, and stop immediately with no negative effects.
However, back when I was smoking an eighth of the ganj a day, for the first week I was just in a haze, then shit started getting pretty bizarre on me. I'd have mood swings out of nowhere, totally space on assignments/meetings, hear shit that wasn't really there, see patterning ala HPPD everywhere, delusions that I was somehow 'special' above everybody else, etc
And then stopping was even harder; going from a soft padded reality to a harsh and unforgiving one took WEEKS of adjusting, and I craved the herb more than I've ever even craved coke or oxy.
It all has to do with your mind and body chemistry.
Again, to recap: I do just fine with frequent meth, acid, coke, H, oxy, etc. use
But weed always gets my mind warped after habitual use.
It doesn't mean I'm "a fucking idiot", it means my brain and body work differently than yours!
Dipshit.

Re: Chronic is my Kryptoknite
You're a fucking dumbass if you think it's the weed. LSD and Shrooms have a SLIGHT chance of making you psychotic, and this is only if schizophrenia, bipolarity, or any other issues run strongly in your family. Schizophrenia runs in MY family and I'm fine after dropping acid a couple times and doing shrooms. (However I have pretty bad HPPD)
It's the coke combined with whatever you classify "the works" as, I'm guessing meth or dex or some kind of gnarlyass stimulant? Maybe you have "amphetamine psychosis" or w/e that bullshit is.
some of these "diseases" are like PTSD, jsut made up so doctors can prescribe medicine. but im just rambling here so I'll leave it at that.

Ahem. Are you retarded? Correlation is not causation. 80-95% of schizophrenic people smoke or have smoked cigarettes, does that mean cigarettes cause schizophrenia? No.
No, YOU are the idiot.
