Weird throat issue
I figured I'd post this here because you folks probably have more experience with this, given all the different things many of you inhale.
Last year I had a cigarette and enjoyed it, no problems until a day after I had one, I got this extremely painful sore throat accompanied by an incredibly dry mouth that lasted 2 weeks. It was so painful I ended up seeing a doctor. I have a high tolerance for pain after all the complications I went through getting my burst appendix taken out a few years ago, so don't take it lightly when I explain how painful my throat was, it was unreal. The doctor didn't tell me shit and put me on some anti-biotics in case it was an infection.
Not putting two and two together, a few weeks later I have a cigar and low and behold the same thing happens. I haven't smoked anything since out of fear of that fucking pain returning. I'm aware that people not used to smoking can experience sore throats until they get used to it, but I couldn't even talk quite literally for weeks after smoking.
I don't think that's normal and it's holding me back from trying new things; I'd love to try weed and Salvia among other things but I don't want to be incapacitated for weeks on end again. Does anyone here know what the hell is causing that? Did I just get shit luck those times and smoking is unrelated, or what? Anyone who knows what the fuck is causing this, please explain.

Re: Weird throat issue
Your body is sensitive to smoke. I doubt there's much you can do about it. You'll have to use vapors or cook food if you ever want to try smokeable substances.

Re: Weird throat issue
It is almost defiantly an allergic reaction to a chemical in the smoke. It is likely that it is tobacco related as well.
If you can spend a day in a city without suffering, you can smoke a joint, it's less harmful than the former anyway.

I'd love to try weed and Salvia ...
I certainly hope you don't expect similar experiences.
