Default Whats more accurate?

which would be more accurate for measuring marijuana, a triple beam scale or a digital kitchen scale?
i'm gussing it would be the digital since it takes most of the human error out of it.
but after researching it, alot of people think the triple beam are more accurate.

Depends on how low it can calculate.

Technically the triple beam scale.

Well a triple beam will usually measure to the .01 gram, while a kitchen scale rarely goes to the nearest .1 gram let alone .01g.

But it all depends on the...to the...to the word I fucking can't think of atm but means something along the lines of: increments of accuracy.

I used to have a kitchen scale (used to like measure meat and shit) and it was quite inaccurate. The triple beams for sure are probably way more accurate.

But, if you're just measuring weed it shouldn't be off by so much that it will make any real difference. Despite the fact that mine wasn't exactly dead on, it was close enough.

i like digital jewlery scales myself only problem is some of them max out at 10grams so if you sell in ounces of half ounces its not really usefull.

i usually only measure powders anyway i dont smoke or sell weed anymore.

the good ones can measure as low as .001 of a gram

Variables maybe?

Uncertainty?

Like "plus or minus" .05g if the beam balance has increments of .1g

But then say for digital the "uncertainty" was the same as the increments. So "plus or minus" .1g for a digital scale in increments of .1g.

It's like the "error of measurement" or something - and I think digital and mechanical scales have different rules for calculating it.

Nah, not quite. I think I know what he's talking about; we learned it in chemistry. I can't seem to think of the word either now.

so does anyone know what the average triple beam max out on?

It doesn't matter. You can get a pocket scale that does .1 and holds up to 500g and it's not nearly as sketchy as a fucking triple beam balance.

I think resolution was the word, but I'm still not sure.

Either way, I got one that has a capacity of 100g, redolution to .01g and it was only $18.00.
