I ask because I just got done with a real nasty drug binge, I was speedballin every day, heroin and shooting coke or smoking crack, any drug I could get my hands on but it was mainly tons and tons of heroin and a bit of coke. I'm at the point now where I feel fine, my brain chemistry is back straight and shit, I have no WDs but I wanna get high. But I realize that if I do get high I'm putting myself at huge risk for getting hooked again :p

I went for a long time smoking daily where I didn't think I would be able to cope without weed for more than a day smoking at set times like a routine, then I just stopped... It was pretty shitty for a few days but when it comes down to it, its just a minor mental addiction and doesn't really cause any significant withdrawals after a few days. I still crave the fuck out of it but its controllable at least now I know that even though I thought I couldn't, I can actually cope without.

Just my 2 cents but although weed is addictive, its not always as bad as it seems once you actually stop.

Never been addicted to benzos or opiates. I guess i've had cravings for ketamine, cocaine and GBL, and cannabis definitely when i used to smoke lots of pot, but no way any more.

As my friend branded it; MDMA is "emotionally" addictive; after a period of time, if you enjoy it, something's just tugging at your heart strings to get utterly gurned up and wander around all night wide-eyed.

Well, My addiction doesn't adversely effect my life. I get my drugs from prescriptions and I pay very little for the ones I buy illegally.

For a while, I wanted to quit just because It bothered me that puny little pills had their hold over me. I've realized that I'm not spending a hundred bucks a day to supply myself with drugs, And it's really not effecting my relationship with friends. I can take a couple vicodins in the morning and afternoon (not enough to be high) and feel fine, No withdrawal.

I think I've found a good balance with my addiction.

Everything in life can be related back to our emotions man, and through that, every addiction. The use that stems into any addiction has something to do with emotions, so to say that something is "emotionally addictive" is a fair misnomer, it's just a fancy way of describing a psychological addiction to a substance that has no physically addictive properties, or any significant mentally addictive properties for that matter.

Don't take this to mean that I don't think people can become psychologically attached to MDMA and abuse it because of this though, I myself have abused that particular drug very heavily in my lifetime.
