Up until today i always thought vicodin was much stronger than percocets. But after researching a bit i realized oxycodone is 1.5 to 2X as strong as hydrocodone!

However does vicodin usually come in larger doses, because my friend insists a vicodin has much more effect than the 512 percs he's taken.

I dont know the dose of the vic. What are some of the more common dose sizes? All Ive gotten from my friend is that they're very large in terms of size in comparison.

i just recently got switched from 60 7.5mg vic's every 2 weeks(was takeing 4-5 and getting super high for 2-3 hours) to 30 10mg oxy time release and 15 5mg oxy instant release pills i gotta say i liked vic more because of the intense high but oxy seems to last about twice as long as vic's and are alot more mellow high then vic's the biggest downfall i see to switching from vic's to percs is that the vic's were easily potenated smoke a blunt or a drink of beer or even a good cig and it would intensify the high i havent tryed potenateing the oxy's yet but cigs dont seem to work as well with them

It depends on the amount of oxycodone in the percocet and the amount of hydrocodone in the vicoden. The 512 percs have 5 mg of oxycodone IIRC so I would imagine your friend is either getting 7.5 or 10 mg hydrocodone pills.

Unless you have magical oxycodone there then yes its going to show up in a drug test as opiates. In addition, I believe opiates stay in your system for 3 days or so, but it could be more I suppose depending on how often and how much you dose.

NO, oxycodone won't show up in drug tests unless you have a specialized test.

edit: so a 10mg of hydro is comparable to 5mg of oxy? So clearly percs are better... Anyone want to argue this?

Are the two similar to ephedrine and pseudophedrine (sp) as in the only difference between the two is strength, or are there differences in effects? Sorry for being such a noob btw.

Percs aren't "better" than vic's. They are two different drugs with two different effects. If you want to get a feel for their effects before you try the drug read some erowid reports.
