I Think your post would've been taken more seriously had you actually given us some info on wtf you're talking about, instead of just filling up the body of your post with "penis"
smh

Just put your foil hat on. Then we wouldn't have trouble with mind machines now would we?

Re: WTF are mind machines???
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A mind machine (in some countries called a psychowalkman) uses sound and/or light to alter the brainwave frequency of the user, resulting in altered states of consciousness that have been compared to those obtained from meditation and shamanic exploration.

Re: WTF are mind machines???
I have used a brainwave generator which emits different frequencies to different ears, producing a certain wave length (alpha, beta, etc..) in your brain. I have gotten minimal relaxing effects from this, but I am extremely interested in trying this (and other mind machines such as visual hypnosis type things etc.) in combination with psychedelics.
One person who has ALOT of experience with this stuff is someone named Zoe7. He has written 2 very interesting books, 'Into the void' and 'Back from the void' (I think). There is an EXTREMELY interesting podcast by him you can listen to here - http://tinyurl.com/4meypa .
Here is a quick explanation of him from Matrix masters.com -
"Zoe7 is a multi-dimensional synergy personality cluster who inhabits the body and mind of consciousness researcher, Joseph Marti. (The other five personalities are: Max McCullan, Ebhrious, Jiebro, Kzark Prestidius, and Lee Steel.) His book, Into The Void Exploring Consciousness, Hyperspace and Beyond Using Brain Technology, Psychedelics and Altered-Mind States, depicts Martis experiments with mind machines, entheogens, and psychological time travel, how the Zoe7 cluster came to be, as well as new theories on parallel universes and probable Earths, the mechanics of reality and existence, and the mind of God."
Some may think he sounds like a nut, as I do a little, but his podcast is SO damn interesting!

Re: WTF are mind machines???
I was reading about this thing called the voodoo box or something where you hook up alligator clips to your ears and it sends electrical impulses to your brain and makes you feel drunk.
BTW egzburg a placebo effects an effect all the same. If I bang up something I thinks heroin and feel the effects of heroin I couldn't give two shits if it really was heroin or not as long as I'm stoned.

Re: WTF are mind machines???
You know this how?
Because no unbiased* research has proven that this actually does anything to the brain and that the trance like effects are more likely self induced, thus making the application of a brainwave machine more of a placebo effect than a real one.
* By unbiased, I mean researchers who aren't also trying to sell stuff or people who have claimed that this works without a scientific study. For more information on my viewpoint read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brainwave_synchronization
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binaural_beats#Hypothetical_effects_on_brain_funct ion
Notice the number of [citation needed]s on the first article, an then look at the odd sources on the second one that all seem to conflict with each other, or themselves cite sources that are selling stuff.
Now I'm not one to always be 100% right, but it seems that there is no proof for this one way or another. The total lack of interest in this field by mainstream scientists is what makes me believe it is bunk, because if it was real then there would be more than just these few dubious "researchers" cashing in on this. There would be corporations cashing in on it and large studies and books of evidence of it if it was conclusively effective.
Now if it I am proven wrong by a certified scientific study on this with hard conclusive evidence, then I'll admit that I was a douche and retract my statement of you having a placebo effect. But as it stands, I believe you were under a placebo effect. Now you can accept that or not, but that's my opinion.
