So I finally (2 months) received my order of Modafinil (provigil) in the mail today, and I need to know somthing: What is tolerance like? Does it build quickly like amps? How long till im back at 0 again. I've taken 8-9 today already. Right now its 3:04 am and I've been informed that its a requirement that all posts concerning uppers need to be accompanied by a long, drawn out story that is only important to me and that no one else will even read (except for lurkers) (maybe) let alone care about.

Ok so I guess this could be of help to someone in the world that is like me: Has a script for adderall, and has never ever managed to make a month supply last longer than 2/ 2.5 weeks max. This stuff is ok. The only major bad affects I can see is that unlike adderrall, is that you actually can get very hungry but you don't feel like eating at all. Its a shitty feeling. It has the stimulation of maybe 30mg of amps and slight mood lift but it puts you in a place to get happy just interacting with people or doing somthing to like.

Another drawback I noticed is how much time I waste thinking about things that aren't that important. "Thought loops" I like to call them, because you tend to pick a situation and redo it over and over again in your head.

Overall I'd rate them in the perfect descriptive space of not bad but but not really great either.

Shoot a comedown wouldn't even exist if I had managed to fit a meal in sometime, since its been like 8 hours since I ate anything. Im so hungry yet have no interest in eating right now. I'm not used to this when I'm "spun" , as adderall takes care of my appetite fine.

I know im going to read this tomorrow and say "Fuck I promised myself (again) that I would keep from rambling on and on about shit that doesn't matter and look what you accomplished last night" The only person I've ever broke a promise to was myself. Shiiit.

I tried Modafinil once; well, a "script's worth" or so, via free samples from my friendly quack-psychiatrist (when I bitched about the price). 200 mg tabs, only take one a day, I think...

Anyways, I do have some legitimate ADD/Inattentive symptoms, and Modafinil didn't really do jack shit for me by way of relieving any of those symptoms the way that amphetamines do (though I assume that should be a given).

What I did notice was a better sense of "wakefulness" with the Modafinil than without, but to be honest with you I wouldn't attribute it to much beyond the effects a few hundred milligrams of caffeine would give you, sans the jitters and acidy-stomach. I definitely felt less lethargic/drained on the Modafinil, but it was much more in the physical aspect rather than the mental.

I also noticed with it that if I wanted to sleep I could, but if I wanted to stay awake, I could do that, too. Kinda strange I guess but convenient nevertheless depending on the situation.

Anyways, how much Adderall do you take, and how long you been on it? And how much did those Modafinil run you?

holy shit what a terrible night i had. if you take enough provigils, 800mg, itll definately give you some weird effects. Ive had a script of 20mg adderall xr/day for a year now. I have never taken it as perscribed though and usually take 60-80mg when i do. ive found that over the last few months ive been going through it quicker and quicker. last night was not cool at all. it was just like the first time i wigged out from too much amps for too long, except this shit is like an express lane to psychosis. for reasons i dont know, i decided to take another 800mg. i think my mistake was made when i decided to redose for the second time when i realized the comedown isnt shit compared to amps. I assumed it was ok and took a total of 10 pills over the course of 12 hours. lesson learned.

i got them from an online pharma. was like $26 plus shipping. i had to wait 2 months though because the first shipment was trapped at customs

I was on XR originally and I initially got a free 30 day trial but after that had to pay for it. My insurance helped a little bit but it was still stupidly expensive (I was only taking 10 mg XR at first) so I complained about this to the doctor and he immediately switched me to 10 mg IR twice a day (which really would've been 20 mg XR but oh well )

See a different doc currently and he's got me up to 15 mg IR x 2 right now and this is after I was without it for like 9 months. Probably gonna shoot for 20 mg IR x 2 in another month or two. I just waltzed in there, said I used to take it, it helped, got a new job/wanna go to school blah blah and think it would help again.

Docs don't seem to think much of passing out CII stimulants but don't you dare try to get them to write you out a bottle of CIV tranquilizers because then you're a dirty drug-seeking pill addict and will have a lot of fun with your SSRIs and Seroquel.

Ive tried to hint that i need an increase without directly asking for it the last few appointments but he just gives me the "well its not a wonder drug, improve study habits etc" im hoping he finally budges next time in august. weird thing is that most docs start you off low usually 10mg and work their way up. mine started me at 20mg and kept me there for over a year

on a side note its a good idea to get those things if youre going back to school. for me it was only a bandaid. after 1 year of taking amps regularly somedays i feel like adderral took what little of my motivation i had and now i just cant seem to get motivated and be productive unless i have some kind of stimulant to give it to me. ive been walking a fine line between addiction and dependence for a long time now. When i run out of my monthly script i have never gone out and tried to find more speed. its like a test for myself and keeps me in check

euphoria was there. not like amps but it was easy to just be happy with things that normally wouldn't be for me. take 5 provigil and trust me, youll find somthing to be happy about.
