Do opiates affect vision at all?
I'm going to the optometrist after I get off work today and I don't want to do anything that will fuck up my test because I actually do need glasses. I was thinking of doing some pod tea on my lunch break... I know it will constrict my pupils, but will it affect my actual vision in any sort of negative way? I'm going through mild withdrawal (liquid poo, aching knees, stuff like that) so it's kind of important. Thanks for any help.

Re: Do opiates affect vision at all?
Not to my knowledge.
Unless your like wrecked on free morphine from a strong batch of pod tea. I wouldnt see any reason for it to fuck up your vision.

Re: Do opiates affect vision at all?
It won't do anything more then you mentioned.
Do opiates actually constrict your pupils? I've never really looked I suppose. Figured they'd enlarge them.

I never understood that. Shouldn't constriction make light more bearable? Shouldn't dilation make light more 'extreme'?
But I dunno, last time I did shrooms my pupils were huge and the sun didn't bother me at all. I don't think I've ever gone outside on on opiates.

That doesn't make sense. Opiates constrict your pupils.
If anything dark rooms would be annoying.

Re: Do opiates affect vision at all?
Naturally if your outside in the blazing sun all day, your pupils get smaller than a guy's who just shot up a whole bundle.I did realize this because when I would be withdrawing, this used to happen to me while working outdoors in the summer. If you do enough opiates, your vision does get fucked up,in the sense that you eyes are moving around while theyre really still.Like watching the blair witch project and getting dizzy from the fucking camera flying around.

Re: Do opiates affect vision at all?
Alright guys, I downed a bunch of pod tea about an hour ago and I feel great. No runny nose, no runny asshole, no joint pain... it sucks really, to be dependent on a substance like this. If any of you guys are just getting into opiates, well, I won't tell you not to take them, but just be sure to always keep it in check and not go overboard, or you'll probably regret it. [/preaching] Anyway, thanks for all the helpful responses. Hopefully the doctor won't concern himself with my tiny pupils. :)

Yes it is commonly called "pinned pupils" but I believe the medical term for it is miosis.
