Is this creepy
Ok, so there's this girl I like blah blah blah. Sorry, I hate these kinds of threads. Really, it's just me ranting.
I'm 17, in HS, had one serious girlfriend (who's also the only person I've had sex, or anything really, with). Problem is, that relationship was rough for alot of reasons. Basically the bitch pulled the after break-up whore move, and now she's a full blown slut. And she has huge depression and self-esteem issues. And they were kinda friends. Not real friends, but friendly. PROTIP: don't get involved with depressed chicks. Ok, that's me.
Basically, this girl and I were getting along really well at school. We were making friendly fun at each other alot (like when you make fun of your friends quirks type of thing), just talking, and she wrote a fucking page in my yearbook. Anyways, she heard from someone else (not me) about an urban exploration location in the area and brought it up to me. So I offer to take her through it (storm drain).
Basically the problem is that it's now summer and I have no way to contact her. She told me where she works, and I (somewhat joking) said that I'd drop by when I'm in the area (it's like a 10 minute bike and the 41 runs there). And I could ask my ex for her number and call her up, but it seems kinda weird to call someone who never gave you their number. Problem with that is the only reason I'm still talking to my ex is so that I can find out whether she has an STD so I know whether or not I should get tested (there's a long story there).
TLDR. Basically, there's this girl I like. Offered to take her to this urban exploration spot. Problem is, I never got her number. I could run in to her at work or get her number from my ex and call. Both seem a little creepy/stalkerish/desperate (which is somewhat true). Advice?
I assume most people are going to say go for it, either way.
And sorry for ranting. I know I did alot.

See if you can get her contact info from her facebook. If you're already facebook friends, it's not creepy.

Re: Is this creepy
Stop in where she works and say hi. If she told you where she works and to stop by, she probably was fine with you doing just that. I do that all the time to friends who work in retail stores and chat them up for a while; it's usually a welcome distraction.

Re: Is this creepy
It could go either way really, she might have said that shit just to be nice, not really expecting you to stop by, or it could have been sincere, you were the one who was there to determine her attitude, but fuck it just stop by with some friends and say whats up...no harm no foul

Re: Is this creepy

ya, I know. But I either have to front $52 at Planned Parenthood (goddamn my HMO insurence) or ask my parents for the cash. And I'd rather not explain that I fucked a emotionally and mentally unstable girl, who's now completely out of control, after we had broken up/I wisened up.
EDIT: in all honesty, I'd probably end up doing this anyway for whichever girl comes next, just so that I can have sex with them or get head without her being scared of getting something.

Re: Is this creepy
Just drop by, and tell her how much you regret not getting her number. If she blows you off, move on and don't worry about it. Sitting here obsessing over whether or not talking to this girl is "creepy" is a lot creepier, to me. But I think you're destined to fail here anyways.

Re: Is this creepy
Cry me a fucking river, $52 dollars or your health? I'd sooner commit armed robbery for the cash than potentially have a god damn STD entrenching itself in your body with potentially no noticeable symptoms, until it is too late.
Jackketch always says that no amount of money is too much to get an abortion if you are unready to be a parent, and this is essentially the same case.

I'm getting tested. Called Planned Parenthood, got the appointment set up. You're right. $52 is nothing in the big scheme of things, and the sooner something's caught, the easier it is treated or the easier it is to make the symptoms more benign. Going to ask my dad for the cash. He's cool about most things, including this (hopefully).
As for the girl, there's a bike shop and a pizza place nearby. I'm going to pick up some stuff i need (pedals, tube, and patching stuff), grab a pizza, then walk in and say hi.

Re: Is this creepy
I highly support your course of action, with the STD checkup and meeting the girl at work. Sorry about my last post, I probably came across as needlessly hard on you.

Re: Is this creepy
Good choice on being tested. Don't get to worked up about going to see her because if you do she won't be there, it's just how the universe works.

Re: Is this creepy
Man too bad she doesnt have MS/Facebook, youd be set, its such a easy way to safely/non-threatening way to further "continue" on your way. Its really cheating, cause it makes you less "use" to the old ways of meeting up in person and having a discussion but you can do it from the comfort of your own home free of charge. Lazyness.

Your local city health clinic should do it for free. They know me at my clinic, I get tested every 6 weeks. No shit, just in case.

That is really really great advice. Fucking lifesaver that is. Now I just have to hope San Francisco's health center will do it for a non-city resident.
Oh, and I went by the girls work and she wasn't there. Oh well, try again some other day. Probably Tuesday (my off day) and hope she's working.
At least I got all the bike stuff I needed.

I'm pretty sure jack says exactly the opposite.
