After fermenting my own alcohol, I realized that, although it gets you drunk, that doesn't erase the fact that it tastes like absolute shit. I got a small pot, collected the vapor (although I lost about 90% of it, and drank about 30 mL of the stuff I collected. Surprisingly, it tasted quite good. Loads better than the shit I've been drinking so far. I'd like to build my own still/distilling apparatus (water distillers are ****ing expensive), but I'm not sure how to go about it in a way which won't give me lead/metal poisoning. Any idea on how to make a water distiller which won't end up with various metals in the alcohol?

First page was useful, but I've seen the video before, and it doesn't have much to do with making your own distiller (I did do a fair bit of looking into this before I posted here).
