How bad is it to cancel dates? Sort of..
I asked this girl to go to a pretty legit hip hop show tomorrow, Dilated Peoples and Alchemist.. I don't know her too well but I know she likes to party.
My plan was: see the show then go chill at my place after and have a few beers, get a little wastey and star gaze and I show her my telescope lol. However she just texted me saying: "How much are the tickets? My finances are kinda low at the moment but I still want to do something tomorrow.."
Question is, I really want to see this fucking showeven if I go alone. I'll drink myself silly and maybe spark a small blunt and share it with some random neegs.. still have a good time alone.. but I'd have to blow her off because she basically isn't into paying $23for a ticket.. she probably knows me buying her one is out of the question.. I'm not about that, yet..
Is this acceptable? I'm pretty set on telling her I'm going anyways and we can hang another night but I don't know how bad it would be to cancel.. any advice appreciated.. also share any stories or anecdotes of when and if you've canceled a date and if it mattered or didn't

Because as I said we hardly know each other... I know she likes to party because we've been drunk together and had a couple good laughs and conversations at parties. But I'm not about to pay $23 for someone who I don't know is even fun sober, or who will be fun at a show, ya know?
Or, am I being too stubborn? I have the damn $23, but I'd rather spend it on other things like gas or beer.
I also don't want to start a precedent where I pay for everything since the first date. I don't make/have a ton of money though I do all right, but I can't be paying for like concerts every week. Fuck that.

Good call but I'm underage. I usually rock a flask or two to concerts though for good measure..

Tell her it's 23$ however she can pay you back whenever she has the money.

Re: How bad is it to cancel dates? Sort of..
just say you'll treat her this time.
i think you're being really tight if you don't buy her a ticket. who said anything about buying her drinks all night? maybe one, but don't feel pay for her to get trashed. unless you keep getting drinks for yourself and none for her...
how old are you? it doesn't seem like you're very familiar with dating.

Wow, do you live in Austin? I saw that show in the papers a few weeks ago but decided I'd rather see RZA... ending up seeing neither. Sucks. Was it good?
Nevermind realised the show with Alchemist and Dilated Peoples was about a week ago in Austin, they must be touring together... But still; were they good?

Re: How bad is it to cancel dates? Sort of..
I've cancelled dates before, but it was under a legitimate excuse, either family or a work excuse....that way its not like i was avoiding them or any shit like that(bitches will think this shit up).
Plus depending on your situation, it may be good to show the girl your not there to drop everything when it comes to her...your not always available...you have a life of your own.(not in a selfish way either)

It depends. If you care about her, shout for her. If you don't, which you don't, don't shout for the scabby bitch.

Re: How bad is it to cancel dates? Sort of..
1). If you tell her she needs to pay you back, then it's not a date. It's friends. On a date, the man pays. Especially the first date.
2). If you are at all interested in getting to know her, pick up her ticket. Is she 21? If so, do this: tell her you'll buy her ticket, but she's responsible for her own drinks. That's fair, but it's still a date.

Damn you are stupid son.
Buy her a ticket and exchange it for a blowjob. Everyone wins.
And fucking $23, are you fucking kidding me? You win the Jew-off.

Re: How bad is it to cancel dates? Sort of..
If you don't want to look like a wuss by paying for a girl you don't even know, say "hey how about I cover you on this date and you get the next one?" Thats a guaranteed second date/free dinner sometime in the future, plus someone fun to go to the show with.
