Nowhere to turn
Im actually feeling rather ashamed to post something like this. Im usually the type of guy to sort out and deal with his own problems, no matter what, and to follow what i think is right.
The past few weeks have been pretty tough on me though. My best friend of more than 8 years shipped out to army basic training last week, and he feels sure he will be deployed soon afterwards, being in a transportation unit. But i've been trying to get over it a little and look foreward to spending all summer with my girlfriend. I figured it would be a great summer, I got a new job as a lifeguard, make lots more money, got my drivers license finally, and all that good shit.
But last night, my girlfriend of 9 months called me and told me it was over because her feelings have changed. We have broken up a time or 2 before, but never longer than a month, and after i asked her if she could see us down the road a little, she said no. I really dont want anyone to think im a bitch or an emo, but this is absolutely devastating to me. I feel like i dont even have anyone anymore, and ive never felt alone like this. This happened 3 years ago as well, and i still think about it , so the thought of another 3 years feeling sad bc of this girl just overwhelms me with depression. Ever time i see her myspace, and see the pics of her, i cant help but think about all the shit we've been through, and how much i wish things were back like they were when we first met, all the good times, and how things will never be that way again.
I guess i just mean to say i need a little bit of advice, because ive never felt this unbearably depressed before

I don't mean to be a dick, I really don't. But ^ is right. We can't do anything but relate. And it's going to hurt like fuck for a while. But life goes on yadada yadada.

Well, we could ask for nude pics.
Vengance is a form of closure, right?

It always hurts mate. You're not the only one. Go out and do something, anything.

Re: Nowhere to turn
I know how you feel, I went through all of this last summer when all my friends moved cities and went to different collages. It fucking sucks but i found going out to public events and meeting new people helped alot. I also bought a golden retreaver and he always gave me company, and if you get a dog as a puppy you meet lots of girls. This may seem kind of obvious but that was what helped me most. You have to do something now before it turns into depression. And your gonna be a lifeguard so you will meet lots of new people..
