Default Happy Fathers Day totse

For all the totse dads out there.

I always acknowledge the other father figures in my life today too. Of course my actual dad gets the cards and things, but there are a couple of other people who have done a similar job who deserve recognition. I don't think any one of us has only been brought up by one or two people - it's very much a joint effort. I don't think there is much in the 'blood is thicker than water' saying. Of course there will always be some sort of bond between biological dads for the luckier of us, but we certainly make our own families out of the people that matter to us, blood or not.

Ok I admit I did send my Ol'Man a pressie but otherwise no I don't go this whole father's day/mother's day thang.

I'll be surprised and a little annoyed if my kids wasted money on cards and presents.

One thing though, seems its becoming a BIG thing here in the UK .

Even the local flower shop has a big sign in the window "REMEMBER SUNDAY IS FATHER'S DAY"...

in a flower shop????!!!...

Got the old man a couple decent dominican cigars and a Magic Hat summer variety 12 pack... told him he's gotta enjoy them with me one night this week. I don't do cards though usually...

I forgot, and what did I do for him today? Flooded the bathroom and criticized the egg fried rice he made me by saying "too many onions". Happy Fathers Day, Da. You bastard.

Considering some of the shit I heard, some of you guys must be shitty parents. Fuck.

I don't think there is much in the 'blood is thicker than water' saying.

In Germany, they have no father's day. Instead, all the men basically go on a hike, towing wagons full of beer/wine/food and go drinking in the woods. Sounds excellent.

It's a flower shop, they use any holiday to get customers.

Anyway, my dad didn't get shit from this son. I never met him, nor do I know his address, so I kinda can't.

My dad got a stupidly expensive bottle of armagnac from me, and a pretty card. We went out for dinner. Good father's day.

Well, i don't celebrate Fathers Day or Mothers Day ever. Its not because i am a FAG or something, for me everyday and every second of my life is happy Fathers/Mothers day.
I love them everyday and i show my love and affection to them by helping them and being kind to them everyday. Thats how it is supposed to be done.
LOVE THEM EVERYDAY GODDAMNIT.

I bought my Dad a case of beer and had my little brother give it to him as a gift.

I thought it would be funny to see the guy's reaction to getting beer from a young one.

Also, I got him some piece of clothing or another.

I'm not in town, so I gave him a call and was happy to visit for a while. He seems much better than he was at this time last year.

It was a good day.

I actually think one of my main father figures as a child was a male baby sitter. I actually remember him being part of my early childhood more than my Dad, who was always working/out.

I did still give my Dad a present, but in a weird way, I'm always wondering where that old man is now.

Well, I felt like getting my father something, and if I hadn't, he wouldn't have cared, so there was no real obligation, but shit he deserves it, and I just got back home after being away for a few months. I got him some "French" coffee, (yes, that's like "English" tea - it originates several thousand miles from its namesake) and "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" on dvd. Then me n my sis made him a meal. It was nice.

I'll raise my glass to long suffering fathers, tbh. No flowers though, ho ho.
