How long does it take for most of the food in your stomach to empty out after eating? Or at least enough where it won't keep my pills from kicking in as hard/fast?

2-4 hours is the average with anything over 3+ hours being quite unlikely unless you've eaten a lot or any of these foods (http://www.slashfood.com/2007/04/27/top-10-hardest-foods-to-digest/).
