I mean, I'm able to get chicks to fall in love with me with very little effort from just using good wordplay and saying exactly what they want to hear, which is mostly just shit like "oh yeah you're all i think about you're the most important thing in the world blah".
So, all I was wondering is what do chicks and dudes really talk about, when its not about love or affection for one another. Like, how do people keep it from getting awkwardly silent when around someone like they're gf or someone theyre going after?
For instance, if im with a chick, I will often find myself just musing or zoning out and staring into space, which can make stuff a little odd and i guess make me seem boring.
How does one go about keeping a females interest at places like the mall or just in her house or something?

The best way to have them interested in you, is to be interested in them. This goes for anybody.

Try to ask her somethings about herself to get her talking, something like what do you like to do on the weekends, what kind of music do you listen to, whats your favorite movie...

then once you two have discussed interests, pick one that you have in common and talk about it. This part usually just flows naturally when people are talking so you don't really need to think about it.

From my understanding it seems the OP is asking what people talk about when they have a genuine relationship that transcends just lust. For this, I would say they talk about whatever the hell they talk about, as once you truly get along with someone there are never awkward silences, just times when both can shut the fuck up for a second and enjoy each other's company without babbling about useless shit.

It's a matter of asking what any two people talk about, what any two people have in common. There's no winning formula - if you're trying to break the ice and it's still awkward after that, maybe you don't engage on the right level. I've had romantic interests in people I find hard to talk to once or twice. It's fucking tense, polite, stilted conversation. I realize I just didn't connect with them on that level. Sometimes it's best not to force it, fun conversation shouldn't be an effort!

If you just need to get it going, on a lighter note, most chicks love talking about themselves, from my experence! That's probably just people in general, too. :o

It is easy once you realize that it isn't the conversation necessarily that the woman enjoys, it is the subtleties in the words. Unless your high/drunk i think it should be retardably easy to keep up a conversation with a girl..especially if you barely know her christ. Listen to what she says, relate to it with a experience of your own, check out your surroundings talk about something you see....etc...i could sit here all day and make a list. Unless shes fat/ugly and you have no interest in her should be the only "exception" to why your brain is drawing a blank....unless of course your staring at this chicks ass or tits or something then thats more like visually/mentally occupied situation.

Uh, this might sound wild and outlandish, but just talk to them like a person. Talk about music, art, politics, sport, movies, whatever the fuck you want. Just because they are female doesn't mean that you have to treat them like some kind of new race.

Exactly, I have found there is a lot less stress on my part when treating them like a friend, because I am not really expecting anything, and they in turn feel more comfortable around me because I am just treating them like a person. Which I think is what a lot of women want from their men. Just to be talked to, and to be paid attention to.
