Last Saturday night I got up to something.

I don't know what, I do not remember at all anything besides standing in the ER at my local hospital with no memory, or higher motor function besides walking.

They admitted me and asked me the same questions over and over again, we went through my pockets over and over again, no ID, just a bunch of things that confused me. Yadda yaa, they estimated my age, since I didn't know what it was, PD took my fingerprints, looked at my tattoos, came back with nothing, which is ridiculous because I have a police record and a drivers license and I am not an inconspicuous individual.

Thats all really totally irrelevant.
They take my urine, and blood, some guy down the hall from me dies, I'm freaking out, don't know who I am, I try to make a run for it because they tell me I've been 5150'd and make it to to the parking lot before I get got.

The morning they transfer me to a mental health facility, which was crazy. My bloodwork and urine came back negative for any of the common drugs, benzos, cocaine, weed, opiates.

Long story short, after a while I remember a friends name, look him up in the phone book, find him, talk to him, he reminds me of stuff, I start to remember, I'm happy as a duck, but still a little confused a week later.

What happened to me?
What did I take?
I thought scopolamine, but I'm pretty sure it leaves a tropane ring, which is what I think they test for when testing for cocaine metabolites.
I thought inhalant abuse or something, but thats pretty uncharacteristic of me, and I didn't smell like chemicals or inhalants.
Alien abduction?
Poisoning?
Psychological trauma?
Research chemicals like DMT or 2-ci?

I have no idea, and noone I've talked was with me for more than a couple of hours that night, so until I know who I was with or just remember myself I won't know what happened.

Any ideas on what I might have done?

Also I was a long term smoker, but after this weekend I forgot I was, and so now I'm not a smoker, but with no withdrawl or grumpiness or cravings.

only thing i can think of is a datura or another deliriant (sp?) or maybe MAYYBEEE a really high dose of acid or an RC. but even if you took something, it probably just set off some underlying condition you had..

In a research development that the director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) calls nothing short of “ming-boggling,” stroke victims lost all desire for cigarettes after suffering damage to a tiny structure in the forebrain. The stroke victims who smoked were seemingly freed from nicotine addiction by damage to the insula, a part of the brain that has not previously been a primary target of addiction research.

Along with the nucleus accumbens, the amygdala, and other structures in the limbic system, certain regions of the cerebral cortex are also implicated in active addiction. Now, said NIDA’s Dr. Nora Volkow, “Everybody’s going to be looking at the insula.”

Researchers at the University of Iowa and the University of Southern California collaborated on the brain injury study, published in the January 26 issue of Science. Neuroscientist Antoine Bechara of USC had learned of a stroke patient known only as N.

A heavy smoker from the age of 14, N. quit cold after a stroke at age 28, telling doctors: “My body forgot the urge to smoke.” A striking percentage of smokers with similar damage to the insula had apparently quit smoking after the injury just as effortlessly as had Patient N.

The role of the insula in brain activity is not well understood, but neurologists believe that the structure may help integrate subcortical inputs into coherent emotions and conscious urges.

No one is suggesting brain surgery for nicotine addiction, but researchers hope to discover ways of interfering with the operation of the insula, perhaps by means of a targeted drug. However, it is not yet clear what other functions the insula may perform, and whether the damage that seemingly eliminates the cigarette urge might also eliminate more positive urges and emotions as well.

What were the circumstances of your admittance? Did they find you fucked up in an alleyway somewhere? Were you dropped off? Walked in yourself? Did you even ask?

they probably just figures it was psychedelics. they don't (normally) test for those and that would probably be the most likely class of drugs for an experience like this to occur on.

The hospital security cameras tell me I walked into the hospital, walked around for a while, and then an orderly brought me to the E.R and admitted me as a John Doe.

This hospital is pretty far removed from anything but the highway...
Blood was negative for phencyclidines, and even alcohol, even though I had a flask in my possession, which was full.

They released me from the mental care crisis intervention place, when your 5150 you have to either prove you are safe, or after 72 hrs they will release you or transfer you to psychiatric care or something.

It worked out for me, but noone knows anything about anything.
And I am a drug user, or at least I was, it seems to me that either I witnessed something horrible and blocked out who I am, or I was poisoned or I took some rare halluciongens or class of drug.

I remember most things now, I had to be told my birthday, and little things like that, but I remember people now and places and some experiences, but I haven't tried using my skills yet. I tried playing a video game on my friends WII, but even though he said I used to be good at it, I failed hard. I haven't tried welding, I went skeet shooting and did really bad. Apparently I'm not allowed to possess or buy guns now so I had to store them all with my friend.

Its just fucked up. I dont remember somet hings, but I remember a bunch of shit about other things.

Doctors dont know shit about RC's or datura...anything thats been recently abused in the past 10 years...unless you hit up a specialist they wont know WTF happened to you..if this guy is telling the truth. That is why you see on the top propaganda on the news about salvia/M-glory etc. because there is no "proper documentation" that the doctors know about to deal with these special cases.

How old are you man? What were any past memories you had before you lost it all? check your computer's history/Instant messanger chats to see if you cannot re-enlighten yourself to something you were planning to take if it was in fact a drug that blew out your mind.

I remember back when i had a lot of shit going on in my life, that and a shitload of stress put on my shoulders, along with smoking weed a few times introduced me into full blown anxiety states..which i sadly developed a case of anxiety spells for the next few months....if anyone remembers i posted about that shit back in the day(years ago) on here. I was all fucked up and it was just at the drop of a hat that i was acting goofy as hell. Eventually I was told by my doc(really great Mf'er) i had a eating condition(not eating healthy) which brought upon my situation because of a low blood sugar level(as it was said) after a few weeks I was better.....
