Virginity
At the ripe old age of 22 I feel like i'm the only girl left in the world who's not out fucking around....i'm the last one in my group of friends who still hasn't had sex yet so i'm wondering if I should just go ahead and do it and get it out of the way or keep waiting for the right person...

Re: Virginity
It's up to you. Both options (get laid ASAP or wait for the right person) are fine. However I think that its good to have sexual relationships before marriage so that you know the difference between love and lust.
I sincerely doubt I'm going to marry my girlfriend (who I lost my virginity to/with) but I have no regrets about losing it to her.

Well sex is wonderful, you're missing out, however if you place value on being a virgin before getting married then it makes since to keep it, or just make guys go down on you.

I can't help but wonder that there is no "right" person. Everyone has qualities and flaws.

Re: Virginity
Don't be concerned. I would find it attractive that a girl has at least some standards.
It shows you have some substance, or you're really unattractive. Your pick.

Re: Virginity
If you are still a virgin at age 22, you mights as well wait another couple of years until you find someone you feel deeply for.

Re: Virginity
If you only want to cuz you're last in the group, then go fuck someone.
Personally, I think you should wait for at least a decent relationship when you lose it. However, my girlfriend says she regrets giving it away to someone else. She was 5 months into a relationship and then she lost it to him. I don't think she should regret it, but then she wishes she could have gave it to me.

Re: Virginity
i don't think it's necessary to wait until you get engaged/married, but wait until you're happy in a relationship. you don't want to go have a one night stand, you'll regret it for the rest of your life, especially since you've waited this long.

Re: Virginity
I recommend to everyone to lose their virginity.
Everyone crashs their first car.
Everyone break up with their first boyfriend/girlfriend.
At first, it's really painful, but you have to get over it. Same thing, really.

Re: Virginity
losing your virginity isn't really a big deal. although sex is really great, you have already waited 22 years for a specific reason, you could wait a bit longer, but if it really bothers you, go ahead.

Re: Virginity

Don't look at it like that. Yeah, everyone's got flaws, but when you meet the right person, you're not going to give a damn about them. That's the way of it.
I don't personally believe in 'saving yourself', but neither do I believe in running around screwing anyone who's willing. Call me a romantic, but I do believe in love and all the assorted bullshit that goes with it, and I won't sleep with someone who isn't special to me.
Can't really give any specific comments without knowing more about your lovelife, but it's always good to get out there and meet more people. How else will you find someone that's worth the awkward fumbling and gut wrenching nervousness?

This. Just do it if you're in love and in a substantial relationship, marriage or not.
Also, there is the "right person". But you've got to be proactive as well. Reactive is all good, but you won't meet many people sitting in your room all day, ya know? Set yourself up for the kind of relationship you want.
One more thing, don't underestimate the internet. Sure, lot's of losers around, but hey, you're here, why wouldn't someone worth meeting be there as well? I know plenty of people who found each other through the net and lived happily ever after. :p

If you've waited this long, you may as well wait for someone you care about.

Re: Virginity
The only reason people usually say "I'm waiting for the right person" is because they are socially inept and unable to get close enough to someone in the first place. This seems to apply to guys more than girls. Any guy who's a virgin after the age of 20 - well that kind of speaks for itself really. I mean EVERYONE wants sex, no point making excuses about waiting - you're ugly and that's it.

i concur.. you might also find out that you were filling in the gaps in their perfection yourself. just find somebody that you can be with/find sexually attractive/have similar interests.. and fuck them. rinse and repeat until you find one that you can see the long term. if sex is important to you you're gonna want to experience some of the flavors before something like age or commitment stops you.
