 I hate my girlfriend's cig smoking
Hey.
I am going home on leave next week to visit my girlfriend. It is her 21st birthday. Here is the big problem for me... She smokes cigarettes, and I fucking hate it. I wish I could accept it sometimes. Maybe not accept it, but not let it piss me off. And when she drinks, she smokes even more. We are going out for her 21st. I am talking to her online right now and I said I am going to get upset if she smokes, she just said that I don't have to watch. Right, but I still know you did it... duh. I don't want to fight on my one weekend of leave. Any advice? It's really not worth fighting over but I just know right now I am going to get pissed off.

Sir, I don't mean to be blunt but I must be. You're dating a smoker. This smoker you are dating, she will smoke, and there is nothing you can do about that.
Common logic dictates that if you do not like cigarettes, you should not date a smoker. It does not matter what else you like about her, this is a big thing, a deal-breaker. You have to let it break the deal.
Oh, and enjoy her 21st. Mine is coming up soon, and it should be quite fun I suspect.
