Which of your senses are affected?

I know hallucinate means visual, but has anyone ever heard / felt / smelled something that wasn't there?


Share thoughts / experiences / etc with various psychedelics.

Well.... when you're high on just about anything (dipt and a few others excepted), all the senses are somewhat altered.

All senses hallucinate.

I've heard people tell me stories or ask me questions when they haven't actually said a word. I've felt insects crawling through my blood vessels, or ghosts tapping me on the shoulder. Smells aren't really as noticeable but I've definitely had an incorrect sense of smell while tripping.

You know , I've never really tooken into account that smells are completely decreased when tripping. Too much is going on I guess...

one time tap water tasted like salt water while i oculd smell the air and see the air skin felt not real.

on n,n dmt, theres a membrane covering reality, then it dissipates and i am looking at an impossibly complicated geometric shape

on acid i might smell something good, and then that smell morphs into a figure

on high amounts of dxm, for some reason im allways convinced that the world will end the next day. sometimes its cool, and i reflect on my life, but ive had a pretty bad trip one time where i lost contact with reality..haha now i stay away from robotrippin

On DOM one time I could look at objects in my room and I knew what their smell was. I was looking at the dry paint on the wall and I thought the whole room smelled of fresh paint, I started flipping out because I thought the fumes were fucking with my head and all in reality it was the hallucinogen. I ran down stairs and remember staring at the clock, I started making the hands turn with my mind, I started to think I could control the time in the world but soon came to realize I was hallucinating again. I went outside and my senses just went crazy I could smell everything around me. I was watching the flowers in my flower bed rotate and enter-lock with each other turning like gears. I convinced myself that there was a such thing as flower power and the electricity to my house was coming from these flowers. The flowers slowed down and I could see the lights flickering in the house. Theres alot more shit that went down that night most of it's hard to put into words that make sense.

I have definitely felt, heard, and smelled things that were not there or in the case of smells something different on various hallucinogens.

I definitely believe that my sense of smell is much more...sensitive when I'm on mushrooms in particular. I always have a bag of weed with me when I eat some, and around the time I start coming up I can always smell it from inside my pocket. Every time.

On shrooms I mainly get visual hallucinations. But sometimes I can actually see and feel things crawling on my arms that aren't there. One time I remember smelling pumpkins were I knew there weren't any. Oh ya... and sometimes I can see music... like I can feel it with my mind and visualize it. Ehh it's hard to explain.

Seeing sounds and hearing colors for the win.

on shrooms all the colors I saw I could taste them. Theres alot of shit like smelling sounds, hearing colors, feeling the music etc etc

All of them... sometimes your senses even get mixed up like hearing colors for example...

Its really something you just have to experience.

taste is one that goes through the roof when im on acid... sweet things are the best, we were drinking fruit punch and had a ghetto bottle bong, we threw some iced fruit punch in for bong water and it was probably the best tasting smoke ive ever had...

The weirdest thing I get is when I take shrooms, it almost seems like my clothes are going from normal feeling to like they're about to become just a bunch of threads of cloth on and off just before it starts hitting the peak. And I also felt like there were way more than two sleeves on a sweatshirt I tried putting on the first time I took mushrooms. It was near impossible at first.

Most of the time visual/audio/tactile senses are what is affected for me when my I trip.

However, the first time I ever did acid (or tripped for that matter), I remember licking the red walls in my bedroom cause I knew they would taste like red, and they did.

I can't ever recall anything weird involving smell but I know my sense of smell is usually heightened or muted while tripping.

Also, I often feel like I have other senses that I do not normally possess while on various psychedelics. Psychic abilities, astral projection, sensing colors and light without my eyes. Of course I usually come down a bit and realize I was just really high. :P

Well most recently, when taking crystal MDMA, I was getting some real wobbles and mild visuals - open and closed eyed. I saw this "dotted line" bike man riding through the air towards me and my friends. I blinked and rubbed my eyes and of course I knew it wasn't "real", but hey, didn't change the fact my visual senses were very affected.

I could also barely read my digital watch, it just became a blur, like it was "too close" to my face or something, with the numbering just spilling out of the watch. Pretty crazy. That happens to me quite often, with MDMA, though.... plus closed eye visuals (which i can't remember so well) when falling asleep. I guess that's the MDA it gets converted into when you're nice n "saturated". I'm a skinny guy, and I guess I must have done about 180-250mg, and sure as shit were a lot of my senses affected..... touch, of course, duh... ;) :D

Basically though, psychedelics can affect any of your senses. It depends on the chemical, the situation, the dose and the person. I hadn't done MDMA for months, and i'd been getting loads of sun, a good diet and lots of exercise.... lots of serotonin does some crazy shenanigans.
